We've been taking our pets (two cats and a dog) to the SFAMC for awhile. We have always received caring and attentive medical treatment. They have a pharmacy too. Yesterday, I went for a routine check up and vaccinations for our 2 year old pup, and I thought we received superlative help from Dr. MacFarlane who was thorough, efficient, caring, personable and insightful. Just a terrific doctor. The vaccines themself were administered by Jasmine, the Vet tech. She is really gifted! Every time we would bring our animals into the Medical Center we would have a positive experience with the staff and doctors treating us like friends and our animals being treated as the most loved and cared for by everyone there. Besides being top notch staff and respected doctors in all aspects of veterinary medicine, we always felt listened to and supported in our pets care. Some/many of the doctors there we followed from other clinics because we knew that they were the very best and our animals would get the very best care.
No one ever wants to need an emergency vet for your beloved pet, but, now I know, if you have to seek immediate medical attention for your pet, SF Animal Medical Center is the place to go. My sweet foolish 3 year old kitty knocked over liquid laundry detergent while we were out and ingested some of it, poisoning himself. We rushed him over to SF Animal Med Ctr on Fillmore and were immediately greeted by one of the techs, Brooke, who had the most calming and caring presence. I think I looked worse than my cat and she took him immediately in to get him checked out.
