I have been seeing Melissa for many years now and look forward to our sessions. She has a warm, calming, and focused approach and I can’t recommend her enough. I always leave our sessions feeling incredibly relaxed.
I found Melissa after an old injury resurfaced. I tried chiropractic care first but it was clearly not working this time around. After just one appointment with Melissa, I could tell an almost immediate change and within the next 24 hours I was moving normally again. She is very thoughtful and attentive when taking down my history and very personable in her care, I felt like she really understood what I needed. Friendly and professional. I found her treatment to be top notch and really affective. Life changing really. So glad I found her. Her space is clean and comfortable. Parking can be tricky in the neighborhood so I tried to walk there as often as I could.
I grew up in the South, where acupuncture and yoga are seen as hack garbage that exist only to take your money. Because of this, I admit that I was skeptical when I signed up for my first session with Melissa. I can now happily admit that everything I thought I knew about acupuncture was completely wrong! I have no doubt that Melissa and her approach have a lot to do with this changed perception. My doctors in the past have been very mindful of the clock and tend to boot me out of their offices inside of 5 minutes; this is despite a long medical history and numerous tangible symptoms. Melissa is not one of those people: she took great care in asking me questions related to my health during our initial session--far far more time than any doctor has in the past. This delivers a clear message: "I want you to be healthy." I've continued my visits with Melissa for the last few weeks and steadily show improvement (slow and steady wins the race). Acupuncture may not be for everyone, but it seems to work for me. I feel as though I'm finally receiving the specific attention I need for my issues. My trigger-points (fascia knots) are finally starting to release after many years of unrelenting tightness and pain that medications only held at bay. Thank you to Melissa for doing such great work and being a wonderfully positive person!
