Dream come true.... Jose is a high end stylist and colorist who owns a neighborhood shop in Lakeside Village. I have never walked away unhappy and I plan to keep him as my go -to hairstylist for good!

It's hard to even find words to express how wonderful of an experience I had getting my hair cut and colored by Jose Lara today. I don't even know where to start and I'm also struggling to pare down what will portray the excellent work he did on my hair, as opposed to sounding like I'm an obsessed stalker. Let me just say first that I have never gotten my hair cut and been truly happy with it before today.

Jose is a perfectionist. He takes his time and made sure I understood and was on board with everything he was doing (I'm a total newbie - I've only ever colored my hair once and it was about 10 years ago). My hair had grown to my butt because I was too stressed...read full review

Let me just say first that I have never gotten my hair cut and been truly happy with it before today. Jose is a perfectionist. He takes his time and made sure I understood and was on board with everything he was doing (I'm a total newbie - I've only ever colored my hair once and it was about 10 years ago). My hair had grown to my butt because I was too stressed about going to a salon where the stylist would shame me for being a burden and a weirdo for having such long hair. With Jose, not only did I NEVER feel judged, but I honestly felt like Jose really liked me. I enjoyed his company and conversation so much - it felt like we were old friends. The outcome is exactly what I envisioned in terms of color and more than I could have hoped for in terms of cut. I'm absolutely over the moon. I can't wait to see Jose again...I might end up with a pixie cut just to have excuses to see him more often :) I donated 12+ inches to Wigs for Kids. Jose skillfully prepped and cut my hair according to the donation guidelines and then I took it home and donated it myself. Jose is warm, friendly, funny, endearing, professional and highly talented. So so so happy and can't recommend him highly enough.
