This service is very convenient, but next time I’ll go to a proper key maker. At the end of my order I was offered an extra $2 “finishing” service for the key. I didn’t know what that was so I declined. When I got my key it had not been deburred, which is what the finishing service must have been.Deburring is a necessary part of any metal processing, not an “extra”, and skipping it can be dangerous because of the sharp edges. At least attach a file to the machine.

Good and fast, my only complaint is that the green key I got was already scratched up a little so some green was coming off.Also the first kiosk I went to said my key was rare and they'd have to ship it, which was not true, as I went to another kiosk and that one worked fine.

I have used the kiosks to copy keys many times, and have always found the process easy, straightforward, and relatively fast compared to other options. I really appreciate that if you sign up for a KeyMe account with your email, you can save 'virtual copies' of your keys which you can view on the app or after logging in at a kiosk. More importantly, you can make copies of your saved keys from any kiosk, which is really handy if, for example, you lose your keys and end up locked out of your apartment.
