The Keyme kiosk was conveniently located when I got locked out of my house. Unfortunately, the high-performance cut key didn’t work, but Keyme quickly and easily refunded that order, and I was able to get another standard cut key that worked well. Very simple, easy experience.
Hit or miss and expensive. I’ve made about a dozen keys here and 3 of them didn’t work. The cuts are really jagged too & it charges extra so some metal brush can be run over it so the cut is smooth. Standard brass key: $10 for 1 key, $15 for 2, $20 for 3. I would recommend the Central Ace on Post & Fillmore. They charge $1.08 and the keys always work.
They undoubtedly solve your problem, but the prices are exaggerated. They told me a price at the beginning and failed to tell me that there is a service fee, which increased the bill enormously. I would have preferred to know the entire total at the beginning and not until the moment of payment.
