Deborah has been grooming my dog for several years now and has always been excellent. She has many many years of experience and it shows in her work and care. I first sought her out because I needed someone skilled in handstripping -- a skill that most commercial groomers don't have. Furthermore, my dog is quite anxious and does not do well in a loud commercial setting. She is able to handle my dog's peculiarities and accommodates his needs by grooming him at-home and with me present. I highly recommend her if your dog requires more attention because of their temperament or anxiety -- she will know how to handle them with care.
If you and your dog start quaking at the thought of going to the groomer, if you've ever had your pup return to you with nicks or a lopsided cut, Debbie can help. She is very calm, patient and has helped me to understand the best ways to help calm my dog for grooming, not to mention making little Hundi absolutely adorable. Also, she is very punctual and communicative in terms of appointments and timeliness. Professional, knowledgeable and very passionate about her work.
Debbie has been hand-stripping our Norwich Terrier, Ollie, for three years and we can't imagine anyone else grooming him. Debbie has become a close confidant on all things dog grooming, health, safety, and behavior. Hand-stripping is a very specialized and time consuming type of grooming that requires a high level of experience, patience, and skill. When Debbie comes to your home to groom your dog, you are able to see in person how much command she has over her craft. You are also able to see how much she cares about your dog and how your dog's safety and well-being are a top priority. Debbie has a calm, no-nonsense personality which helps high energy dogs "slow down" in her presence. Ollie is very excitable but when Debbie comes over, he knows what to do, how to behave, and what is expected of him. She is incredibly in-tune with dogs and is quick to think of alternatives when something challenging presents itself on the grooming table. During one of Ollie's last grooming sessions he became quite agitated when Debbie tried to clip his nails. It didn't even phase Debbie. She calmly put down the clippers and proceeded to file his nails. She strives to get the job done while ensuring your dog is well taken care of. She will never push a dog beyond what they're comfortable with. She is meticulous with both her work and how she leaves your home. After each session, she spends at least 15 minutes vacuuming the hair and fur from grooming and ensures that everything in your home is exactly the way it was before she arrived. Grooming isn't just a job to Debbie. It's a form of art that she takes seriously. At the end of one of Ollie's last appointments, Debbie noticed that a piece of hair was "off." She proceeded to go back to her car, unpack all of her equipment, and fix the piece of hair that looked "off" to her. She wanted to make sure Ollie looked just right, a reflection of her passion, commitment to clients, and years of experience. Debbie is a true expert in her field and we are so thankful we have the opportunity to work with her
