Despicable front desk mean girls who hate their lives and sit their hanging up on patients who are calling to get care. There is lack of management at this place and something needs to be done. The girls
I have been shocked at how horrible the services are here. They seem to be causing more mental health distress to me and I'd imagine other clients, than they do help. Hands down the worst mental health services I have had anywhere else
Dr Elizabeth Kim is a terrible doctor. First off, it takes months to get an appt with her. Secondly, she is refusing to prescribe me my needed ADHD medication because I use cannabis as needed for anxiety. Typically once a week. I am an alcoholic and have been sober for over six years now. Occasional cannabis use has helped me remain sober this long. I don't intend to sacrifice my sobriety for Dr Kim or her lame opinion on cannabis use. How this came about: Dr Kim recently ordered a random drug test, saw I had THC in my system, and is now refusing to prescribe my ADHD medication (a medication that has worked extremely well for my ADHD thus far). She even documented how well the medication has worked for my condition, herself. But now with the recent drug test, she will no longer prescribe my needed medication. Her solution: Until I stop using cannabis for good, she will "treat" me with a different medication that, according to her, "may cause liver damage." Again, I am an alcoholic. I have already been diagnosed with liver damage. She is only making this change because of occasional cannabis use. She has no other reason. A 5 year old has better reasoning. This just shows she could care less about my mental health. She is holding a medication that works well, against me!!!! I have discussed this issue with Dr Bullock, the chief of this department. Talking to him is like talking to a brick wall. He keeps telling me his department will not just give me the medication I want. I am NOT asking for that. I keep reiterating to him, "I would like to continue with the medication that has already proven to work well, but I am not demanding it." What I am DEMANDING is an appropriate treatment option, should Dr Kim continue to refuse to prescribe the medication that already works well. His department was fined millions of dollars by the State of California, last year. Probably a good time for a new chief and policy maker. I urge everyone to visit the DMHC website prior to making any decisions about choosing Kaiser as a healthcare provider. Kaiser does not treat you like a human. You are just a number and income for them. Find a doctor that treats YOU, rather than a robot doctor who follows the policy of a corporation. Once open enrollment opens, I am out. I suggest anyone reading this, seriously think about what their own mental health and their family's mental health means to them before choosing Kaiser, or Dr Kim. It is not worth it.
