My hair has been bottle black for over 20 years and I was looking to transition into something softer and closer to my natural dark blonde. Rita did an amazing baliage and added these gorgeous caramel tones to my hair in a matter of hours. My roots are blending in and the color looks beautiful. I'm super happy.

I've been seeing Cheung for over a decade - no one cuts hair better. I followed him from Groove, then Angel's & Cowboys before he founded Elan Hair Salon. I always get compliments from friends and family about my hair. And when it comes to getting ideas on a new look, his consults are always appreciated. He is an expert at cutting my thick, straight Asian hair. He's always treated me well, and I'm glad we've gotten to know each other beyond a simple haircut transaction. Chika is an amazing colorist. I am obsessed with Japanese stylists. My friend in the hair business Recommended Shinji at SHAIR in NYC and Chika at Salon Elan in SF. Cheung is the owner and I am obsessed with his cuts as well but he's well known (his recognition is well deserved!). Chika is more of an undiscovered gem. She is an amazing listener and takes great pride in delivering exactly what you want. She is extremely thorough and a true perfectionist which you want for your colorist. Thank you Chika and Cheung!
