Beware: They lied about the denial of waiver of $700. Fee to the city and tried to get me to pay them the extra fee. Located in the Mission District. This company pulled a couple slippery moves on me i think because they knew i was in Texas at the time i had to make the arrangements. They must have thought i would not double check on their actions. Once they told me my request was denied, i drove 2 days directly to the city medical examiners office to check on the denial of my request for waiver of the $700 paymment to the city. I had such a bad experience with Duggan/College Chapel. The initial person I spoke with was kind and knowledgeable. The funeral director cancelled my first appointment from a Friday to a Monday. There was a waiver they needed from next of kin to allow the partner to take care of the cremation. Danielle wanted multiple "hoops" jumped through - notaries, witnesses, etc for a waiver that was already signed and sent. She did not like that it said funeral not cremation - but it was the hospitals understanding that cremation services are part of what funeral homes supply.
