You know that feeling when you found your person? That was Ahn for me and my lashes. My eyes never looked so good! I sadly, no longer live nearby and I still think about the lash looks Ahn created for me. It’s a look I still chase with other lash artists. I loved my lashes from my first appointment with her but loved them more as we got to know each other better. Over time (and with her help), I better understood what worked for my hooded eyes and not overwhelm my face with just lashes. I secretly hope Ahn will relocate to be closer to where I am now but until then, I will continue to chase my lash high.
I got a classic set from Anh prior to my wedding. I never had lash extensions before and she was super helpful in talking me through the options. I wanted something natural but would still show up in most photos, and I got exactly that. I didn't experience any of the eyelash extension issues that some friends had warned me about (pain, redness, etc), I assume because Anh just does a great job. She was also just really fun to chat with, which made the appointment seem to go much faster. 5 weeks later, there are still some lashes left and they still look natural! I can't recommend Anh enough.
Anh did an amazing job, saving my lashes from the previous butcher job that was done by another lash artist that I saw on a whim during my trip to Hawaii. I was able to book an appointment easily online and sent in a $40 deposit via Venmo to hold my appointment slot. Anh texts you instructions to get to the small private studio (1 bed, 1 client at a time). When you get there, dial 423 to be buzzed in. Thank you so much Anh for taking the extra time to detangle my lashes, work around the super long lengths that were left, and making sure the new fill looked very even and filled the gaps as closely as possible. It's difficult for a lash technician to do foreign fills and some won't do them at all, and Anh did a great job of being gentle with my natural lashes. I asked for my previous artist to put 12mm lashes on, but Anh let me know that she had actually put on 14-15mm, which is why the old extensions were so heavy and long on my natural lashes. I asked for her to do 9-12mm light wispy volume fill ($165 before tip - $115 for light volume fill, plus $25 for foreign fill, plus $25 for wispy, minus $40 from deposit) from inner to outer corner, and the new lashes were so light I couldn't believe how great they looked when I opened my eyes. She had such a gentle hand and is so quiet that I fell asleep, and since I prefer not making conversation that was perfect for me. It's been almost a week, and only a few fans have fallen out (the natural process of lashes falling out) so retention looks to be pretty good. I'm glad to have found a lash artist close by who has a light hand, great work, and is very professional. Looking forward to getting more fills and full sets.
