I am grateful to be able to comment on the professionalism of the work by Victor Beja. I have been a homeowner in San Francisco for over forty years. I have known him for over ten years. He was recommended to me by a neighbor to paint the outside of our house in San Francisco. He came and gave an estimate and he and his two coworkers performed an excellent job that exceeded our expectations. The detail of work and the dedication to perfection were evident. I have had numerous neighbors and friends comment on the quality of work performed. In fact, we later hired him to paint the inside of our house. Again, the quality of work was excellent. I have never written a Yelp review before but I felt compelled to do so after John and his work partner did a great job of salvaging the backside of my house that needed painting. It was a project I have lazily put off for a couple of years. I started getting caught up in the El Niño warning hype and when late September hit, I started to get a bit worried about the probable damage the back house siding would endure with the impending rain coupled with my very neglected siding...so I shopped around for painters. Being that at the time of my search the weather was consistently warm and that daylight savings was about to end soon, this just added more pressure on me to get this job done fast. I knew painting had to get done before the soon to come colder climate and darker days. I immediately found out that contractors were in high demand, charging premium prices and/or not available until at least a month away. I stumbled across Cal Painting and Decorating on Craigslist and gave it a call. John came out the same day I called him and gave me a competitively priced estimate and was ready to go the following week . Admittedly I was a little nervous that in this very demanding time, this guy was not only available but also affordable. I have had bad experiences with slug workers from Craigslist before and was slightly pessimistic. Anyway, they did an awesome job. They were meticulous with the prep work (washing and scraping) and put on 3 coats of paint during 3 and a half full days of work. John even threw in some extra work by offering to scrap and paint areas of the front of my house that needed minor touch ups for no extra charge. I have the confidence to face El Niño well protected. I will definitely hire John again for other projects.

John and his crew have been incredible. Somehow, he was able to color match the 90s color palette in our organization as well as a custom Venetian plaster job. In no time flat. Then, his crew painted straight, clean lines... by hand... all for a reasonable price and on a tight timeline. They were thorough, responsive, talented and fun to work with - truly unlike any other experience this company has had with a contractor before. 5 stars doesn't even begin to cover it!
