Hands down the best barber shop in SF. They fly under the radar b/c they are 100% unpretentious, but they have unparalleled skill. Jenny is my go to and she is the absolute best with a straight razor. So many barber shops try to seem fancy by putting people in vests and having lots of hardwood everywhere but fall down when it comes to actually giving a good shave for the $. Not Ahmet's - go to it!

LOL okay so before I get into the meat of my review, I just want to give you all some context. So I haven't gotten my hair cut since early September, and I was looking for a quite drastic change. My hair grows pretty long and curly so usually I have a hard time finding barbers who know how to handle the wild nature of my hair. I gave Ahmet's a try and am very happy with the result. In specific, I asked for a 0-2 fade on the sides and longer on top, and that's pretty much what I got! Not to mention, the lady (May) who cut my hair was super super kind. I was in San Francisco for a long weekend after my wife completed a week-long business trip. The girl who had regularly cut my hair over the last several years in Chicago had moved out of state and I wasn't very much looking forward to a new cut from a new person. But I was in the city and I figured I'd take a shot while out here. Ahmet's place is very well laid out and everyone was very friendly. The service was excellent and included a cut, straight razor finish, hot towel and massage for a VERY reasonable price. I just need to figure out how to ensure that my wife has a business trip to San Francisco at least once a month and I'll be set.
