“I just completed a series of 3 massages with Aaron following a procedure, and honestly credit him for my quick recovery! He did a combination of lymphatic, deep massage and cupping as my legs continued to improve. His massage is technical and I always felt a huge improvement in the days following our sessions. Plus he's kind, funny, and you can tell he really cares. Highly recommend especially for anyone hoping to incorporate massage with their recovery. :)“

Johnson's Acupuncture Acupuncture

“I was seeing another provider at a different office and almost gave up entirely on acupuncture/eastern medicine as I wasn't seeing any improvements/results. I decided to give acupuncture another shot and found Dr. Jun. I've been seeing her since late last year for help and support on my TTC journey. She was able to diagnose my issue, prescribed me the appropriate medicinal herbs, and provided me a lot of lifestyle changes to implement in order to support my journey. I've found success through working with Dr. Jun and am currently pregnant! I plan on continuing to see her through the rest of my pregnancy. Dr. Jun is super kind, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to. She really takes the time to listen to all my questions and has always been able to provide me with great suggestions. All the staff members at Johnson's Acupuncture are really great as well, from the ladies that do my cupping/moxa during my appointments, to KJ helping me get scheduled weeks ahead at a time. I highly recommend Dr. Jun and Johnson's Acupuncture if you're looking for alternatives to western medicine.“

Blue Ova Health & Acupuncture San Francisco Acupuncture

“Blue Ova is more than just acupuncture, fertility care, and pre- and perinatal care...Blue Ova is a *lifestyle*. I came to Robin and her team two years ago, after experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss and seeking guidance in all the unknowns that my fertility's future held. Having never tried acupuncture or had a fertility/health coach, I didn't know fully what I should expect. From meeting Robin for my first consultation to starting my first acupuncture sessions with Jessica and Evelyn (who were both so easy to talk to and very thoughtful around my care), a newfound sense of hope and excitement in the potential for living a healthier lifestyle and hoping one day I could achieve a live birth was reignited. And so my journey began: November 2022: Blue Ova 101. I began learning all things nutrition (foods for my cycle and body-warming foods/drinks), supplements, sleep, fertility exercises, resources to read up on, and even eliminating common toxins and striving for a more EWG-life. This is what I mean when I say Blue Ova is a lifestyle! December 2022: Blue Ova 102. Learned more about the potential underlying contributors to my RPL. Robin and her team coached me on the specific medical exams and labs that I should ask my OB for, and how to advocate for myself in the world of western medicine. January 2023: Fertility decisions. During my weekly sessions, Robin (and Jessica & Evelyn who I primarily saw) provided me with general education and resources/clinics for my fertility options, which ultimately led me and my husband deciding to have our embryos tested. February 2023: We did our first egg retrieval and PGA testing with an outside clinic. After yielding 3 PGA normal embryos from our first round, Robin helped craft an even more catered individualized treatment plan for us going into our 2 retrieval in hopes we'd yield more normal embryos. March 2023: It worked...all the micro shifts that Robin/team added in including red light therapy helped to boost a handful more great quality embryos! May 2023: Our first transfer failed unfortunately, but me, along with the Blue Ova team, who I met with primarily during this time, Robin, Tanja, and Allison, prevailed! They recommended I added in women's probiotics, a detox cleanse, red light therapy, and a break (for my body, and central nervous system). August 2023: After integrating all of the interventions as tailored exactly for my needs, we were pregnant! I saw Allison on a weekly basis throughout my pregnancy, leading up to warm-up labor, and I despite all the unpredictables during pregnancy, I felt very well taken care of. Fast forward to 38 weeks later, we finally had our sweet angel baby in our arms. We could not have braved our way navigating our fertility journey and the healthcare system without the support from Robin et al, but also from our doula and my therapist (specializes in IVF/pre-perinatal topics), yoga instructor, and prenatal massage therapist, all of who were recommended through Blue Ova. All of the office staff are so wonderful and welcoming, the clinic is very clean and serene, there are options for super early morning sessions or late evening ones too (for those with tight schedules!), and it's in the beautiful heart of Noe Valley. All boxes checked! And, if you couldn't tell by my novel of a review that Blue Ova is really the best in the game, this investment in yourself, your health, or whatever journey you are on is 100% worth it.“

“Best massage of my life! Very professional. I had so much pain in my neck and shoulder. He was able to work through the pain/tension and talked me through causes and how to reduce for the future. Throughout the session he explained the different muscles and what was happening. Felt like he was really able to narrow in on the problem areas and work where required. “cannot recommend this acupuncturist enough! I had been suffering from a frozen shoulder for months, and after just two treatments with this skilled practitioner, I experienced significant relief - I can move my arm and make it go around and round. The acupuncturist was attentive, knowledgeable, and truly cared about my well-being.

Not only did they work wonders on my shoulder, but I also decided to treat myself to an acupuncture facial. ‍ Let me tell you, it was the most relaxing experience I've had in a long time.

The usual cleansing of the skin, I smelled lavender, rice, and rose water. I felt one or two needles, but apparently a lot of needles were placed, I was imagining pin head, I was close.

I felt a wave of calmness wash over me. The soothing atmosphere and the acupuncturist's gentle touch had me drifting off into a peaceful slumber within minutes.

I woke up, with a refreshing mask. Felt rejuvenated, and completely zen. ‍ My mom said I looked awake and I could see a noticeable difference

Will be back for more sessions.“

“I got Bells Palsy with complete facial paralysis on one side when I was 38.5 weeks pregnant. It was recommended to me to try acupuncture. I was skeptical as I’d tried acupuncture for other problems over the years without any luck. I tried it anyways. After every single session, I regained control of a new part of my face within 30 minutes. I went twice a week and within 4 weeks I was totally recovered. The recovery rate for pregnant women is only 50%. I am so thankful I found Moss Acupuncture and I have Jennifer to thank for helping me get my smile back!“

Aaron Yu Acupuncture Clinic Acupuncture

“I just experienced one of the most effective and affordable combined massage and acupuncture sessions of my life from the most experienced English and Mandarin speaking practitioner of Chinese descent that I could find in the Bay Area. Aaron generously spent two hours healing my lost range of motion during my first-time one-hour appointment. His follow-up 1-hour massage plus acupuncture appointments are even more affordable than some private community acupuncture sessions, especially given he's been practicing since at least 2004. I went in with about several issues. I appreciate that he focused on my top issue. And now I can move that part of my body 95% like I used to. Aaron's tui na massage techniques were unlike any tui na or other massage I experienced. And I've tried acupressure, Breema, chi nei tsang, chiropractic, craniosacral, deep tissue, Franklin Method, lomi lomi, lymphatic, Muscle Energy Technique (MET), myofascial, neuro-muscular reprogramming, neuromuscular therapy (NMT), osteopathy, Rolfing, shiatsu, Structural Integration, Swedish, Thai, and visceral manipulation. When I mentioned that to him, he said he trained with a tui na massage practitioner from Taiwan who specializes in understanding if an issue is a structural, gait, or postural issue. During my session, I lay down and sat in different positions as he moved my joints as if I was swimming. And he massaged them gently at the same time. He also practices neigong through martial taichi in ways I never learned from my kungfu and sequence-based taichi classes, something I haven't found anyone of Chinese descent practicing in the Bay who's also a massage therapist and acupuncturist. And I looked everywhere! I also appreciate his knowledge of how to avoid qi sickness from qigong. He's a humble expert. He doesn't have a website. But he answers his phone. And he deals with health insurance.“
