The beauty center Maria Monica Aesthetics is located in is easy to find and they have their own small parking lot in the quaint city of San Fernando. I scheduled to have a fibroblast done to my entire face. Got there on time, Maria greeted me and then we go through an interview because technically your burning your face off so there's much to cover including skin tone issues. I am on the border of getting this procedure done because of my olive tone but I signed away the risks because I live my vida loca or as the white people say, "YOLO!" The procedure for the most part, felt like little rubber bands snapping at my face. Maria numbs you, but certain areas are bound to hurt. Edges of your temples, middle of the forehead (omg), nose (holy crap), and around the lips. Surprising the eyes didn't hurt. My left side was more sensitive than my right so I would advise a test zap on each side to see which one hurts more. Go for the side that hurts more and start with that. By the time she gets to the other side it'll feel like a relaxing massage. I came about of there like a swollen tomato but honeeeeeeeey, lemme tell your it's worth it. I'm on the 7th day of the scabs falling off (nearly all are gone) and a lot of my hyperpigmentation has lessened, my nose looks smaller! My jowls are a little less (will definitely get that done again) my lips fuller and my eyelids less puffy. I'll return in a few months to get my neck done because this was worth the price tag. A little hefty of your don't get treatments during sale price but still overall less expensive than with others. Maria is sweet, professional and loves her job. The care she took to get all the tiny dots and attack my problem areas reminded me of my OCD and I was here for it! She zapped a huge sunspot that is virtually gone. In about a month or so I'll see full results and will post here. I'm still a little scabby. Stay tuned.
