I found Jade Hair Studio on Groupon and purchased the deal for a haircut. The owner is so friendly and sweet and while I wish I could give my haircut 5/5, I had to ding it because of the following reasons: - I spent 3 HOURS there for a haircut which I did not expect at all. The most I'll wait is an hour max bc mind you it was just a regular trim, 2 inches off, nothing fancy but my gosh, 3 hours later, I was so hungry & tired. - The haircut didn't get rid of my split end. I wanted to go shorter to get rid of my split end but when I checked the next day, my split ends were still here. - I wish there was better communication of what to expect when you arrive. It's not your typical salon where you just walk in. It's a small station located INSIDE a store(?) which also houses other hair stations as well so the front door is always locked. I was waiting outside and someone from the inside was leaving so she held the door open for me. I walked in BUT you're not supposed to do that. What you're supposed to do is when you get there, you have to call the owner and she's gonna go out to get you. How am I supposed to know that? Well I wandered inside looking for the salon while getting weird looks left and right from other salons/ppl. I wish this was communicated when I booked the appt.

I was interested in trying a Brazilian Blowout hair treatment so I found Jade Hair Studio on Groupon. Booking an appointment was easy on the website, but during the holidays, the schedule was booked up for about 2 weeks out. Jade Hair Studio is a suite located inside the Sola Salon Studios in a plaza off the Arrow Hwy exit of the 57 freeway. Parking is plenty in that plaza. Because of Covid, you have to dial into a intercom system to get a hold of your stylist to let you in since the front doors are locked. Waiting outside the Sola Salon doors was not the best during a rainy windy day and with transients walking around the plaza asking for change, but there are some salon owners who are nice and will let you wait inside the lobby area. Kim, the owner/stylist of Jade Hair Studio, is very friendly and easy to talk to. For the Brazilian Blowout treatment, if you have long hair, you should account for the entire 4 hours because she is meticulous and diligent with every strand. I really appreciated her being thorough. A week after the treatment, my hair still feels very soft and much less frizzy after blow drying. I got many compliments from coworkers about how shiny and healthy my hair looks. Hope to come back in a few months again for the hair treatment again!

Kim did an AMAZING job designing my hair. I wanted subtle blonde highlights with cool undertones to compliment my naturally medium ash brown hair. The end result was so beautiful and even better than I imagined. You won't be disappointed :)
