John came out to see the cabinet I wanted cut out to accommodate a dishwasher. He quoted me $600 but said I should just tear everything out and get an Ikea kitchen. He bragged about his days making thousands before the economy tanked and said he was bitter for a long time after that. He had to sell his boat and some of his homes. I asked him how much he'd charge me to install the Ikea cabinets he suggested and he said $1000. I said okay! I contacted him again before I ordered the cabinets and he still seemed on board. So I ordered the cabinets and asked him when he could come to install them. He gave me a date but when that date came he said he had a toothache and cancelled. I haven't heard from him since. This was three weeks ago.
