About West Coast OB/GYN Inc
West Coast OB/GYN Inc. is known for its caring and skilled doctors. Dr. Lisa Underwood is appreciated for her kindness and gentle manner, helping patients feel comfortable during their first visits. Dr. Cunningham is recognized for being attentive and quick to address concerns, especially valued by military patients. Dr. Engorn has been life-changing for some patients who suffered for years, showing dedication and a clear treatment plan. Recently, some patients experienced difficulties with the front desk staff, especially when trying to get appointments. Calling at the end of the month often resulted in being told the doctor was fully booked, which was frustrating. However, many still found the doctor worth the wait—particularly for procedures like uterine biopsy, which was done gently and skillfully, with plenty of time taken to discuss HRT options. Patients also shared that continuity of care and punctuality are very important to them. The office could improve if these aspects were more consistent. Experiences with other doctors varied, and some staff members' sarcasm was noticed, which was not appreciated. With a new baby, some are now considering a different office. Despite some negative reviews, many past patients have had wonderful experiences at West Coast OB/GYN Inc., and the overall reputation remains positive, especially for their caring staff and skilled doctors.
I concur with some other reviews here complaining about front desk staff. It was very difficult to get an appointment. Each time I called I was told Dr. Amy French was fully booked and to call back at the end of the month. When I'd call at the end of the month, they told me the same thing. Very frustrating. But I will say Dr. Amy French was TOTALLY worth the wait. I needed a uterine biopsy and she was so gentle and so skilled I hardly felt it. I was so relieved and she took plenty of time to discuss different HRT options.
All I will share is that I now know continuity of care is very important to me as well as punctuality. The office would be more my choice if both existed more regularly. Some of the doctors I enjoyed, others I did not. The support medical staff were always 50/50 but I will share that I consistently felt an undertone of sarcasm which I did not appreciate. Now that my second son is born I will be in search of a different office.
It's very disheartening to see so many negative reviews for this place! Though I haven't been in a few years, I need to return because I had wonderful experiences there in the past, and all I see now are negative reviews.
