I wasn't able to get in for the same day appointment, but I do want to comment on how kind and helping the staff were over the phone. I will definitely consider them in the future for my dogs.
This review is long overdue!!! If you live in San Diego, you have found the absolute best care for your pet. The doctor’s and staff at Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center quite literally saved our dog Denali’s life. Dr. Wood, on top of being a phenomenal vet, is such a caring human. When we thought we were losing Nali, his words brought me to tears, and comforted me when we were in the unknown of her health issues. Jenna was absolutely amazing with everything - last minute appointments, submitting medical records, checking in on us, and just being a person we could lean on during the toughest times! I was 'fired' by my previous (useless, revolving door) vet because I dared to question their procedure/s. I had to take my pup to VCA for a UTI that continued for almost 4 months. (Yes, the previous vet had been seeing her the entire time, but couldn't figure out what to do). I asked the vet at VCA, who is the vet they would recommend for our dogs. They mentioned Torrey Highlands and Dr. Wood and his (AWESOME) staff. Do NOT go to this vet unless you want your pets to have the best care and for the humans to be treated like family.
