Been coming here for a little while to see Dr Truitt for some cosmetic concerns. Whether it's botox or lasers for various concerns/improvements, she likely has it covered! Such a knowledgeable physician with amazing bedside manner. Thanks Dr Truitt!

Awesome place!! I am an entrenched UCSD patient with all of my doctors, prescriptions, lab tests, surgeries, and procedures being done through them. But, when it was going to be 8 months before I could get a dermatologist to look at some wonky skin cells on my face. I decided to venture outside the wire and see what else might work. Got a recommendation for Skin Surgery Medical Group through my insurance company. made an appointment one month out. Everything went like clockwork. The parking as close to the door. The elevator was ready for me on the first floor. The reception area was beautiful and airy, with a view. The receptionist was quick, efficient, friendly, but not talkative. As soon as my paperwork was done they took me straight back. Saw an assistant for five minutes of Q&A, and then Dr. Barbara Martin came in directly, Quick discussion, then she froze the three spots. She also shot my keloid scar with cortisone. Then I was out of there. Total time in office 26 minutes. It was stunning compared to the way UCSD does things where my first appointment would be billed as an office visit, and then I would have to make a second appointment to have the procedure done. But, this place was so much better! So competent, professional, and efficient. So impressed I had to write a review!

Great office full of very nice people. They are on the 6th floor of that medical office building at the corner of Balboa and Genesee, right next to Taco Bell. Great view of Clairemont from their plush office windows. Would be 5 YELP STARS EXCEPT FOR: I do not need any skin surgery but I have been to this office several times trying to get on various clinical medical studies. EVERY SINGLE TIME, my symptoms are not severe enough or I am just slightly over the BMI. Last time I wanted in on some toenail fungus study but they scraped my toe and said the fungus was only moderate. Good luck to anyone who bothers to go to Skin Surgery and waste their time trying to fit into strict study criteria. It's a shame because the business seems like a good one but they should only accept medical trials that do not eliminate just about every single person who tries to participate in them.
