Scripps Health Business Center is a corporate office complex located off Genesee Avenue in San Diego, providing various administrative services, including human resources, finance, and marketing. Had my 1st Covid Moderna Shot. They were very organized, and moved us through quickly. Did not even feel the needle! They gave me my 2nd appointment also and Have to go back 3/7.
I was sick with a virus about 6 weeks ago, could not get appt with my Doctor, went to urgent care... told I had virus,chest xray done andsent on my way after five hours. Following week still felt bad and waited 5 hrs and gave nebulizer treatment but diagnosis still virus and “needs to run course”...no blood work and must not of really looked at my chart ( I’m diabetic for over 50years( which I told then) with many health issues and I have been coming to Scripps for several years... and I really like my Doctor). Still felt sick for third week and couldn’t get appt so gave me physical assistant... she told me chest X-ray clear but maybe heard something at bottom of lungs so she gave me antibiotics and said I just had to let it run it’s course... oh did I mention my abdomen was hurting- upset and lost appetite! Well thank God my husband was so worried about me ... thought I had a stroke so he took me to hospital and they found out my sodium became dangerously low and I spent time in ICU and then general hospital! My Doctor found out about because I wrote her on my Scripps portal. Oh did I mention when I asked the scheduler for an after hospital visit I was told my Doctor was booked up but I could see a PA. Seriously... finally got in about a week after hospitalization. Needless to say I’m very disappointed! Why all the road blocks to my Doctor etc.... I would really like to find out how this could be prevented in the future for not only me but all those people that count on Scripps health care.
The family medicine/general medicine area is a joke. Since my 1st son was born in 2014 (and my 2nd born in 2018) we have been coming here. Thankfully other than the occasional cold both of my boys have been healthy. There have been 2 times I needed an appointment other than a well check. Both times I was unable to get any help and on top of not getting any help, RUDE and AWFUL service. Dr. Shalauta is so kind and helpful but unfortunately we will be going to UCSD from now thanks to the staff there.
