“Alex was fantastic. My best friend and I were visiting San Diego for a girls weekend and we decided to get tattoos to commemorate the trip. There was a theme we kept coming across in our adventures there, which was carousels. We walked in and asked for him to draw up a design of a carousel horse and he happily took to the challenge. It was exactly what we were envisioning. We didn’t have a lot of time so we kept it basic, but we may or may not have plans to go back in the future to add a little color and bring them more to life. 10/10 recommend visiting Alex and having him bring your vision to life.“

“I've been coming to Wylie Sydes for almost 30 years, way back when it was still off of 9th and Palm. This is the place I go to for my piercing needs. Customer service is always great from this family owned business. They only take cash though which can be a little inconvenient. Recently brought my daughter in to get her nose pierced, and they were very knowledgeable and professional. I think their prices are still reasonable. It's a small shop but they have always taken care of their customers and I will always recommend it them to people.“

“I got my first tattoo from Desiree and it's healing quite nicely! I love the way it looks and it was an easy, fantastic first experience. I emailed the shop and they helped me set up the consultation appointment to discuss the design (5 minutes) and I came in a couple days later for the actual tattoo. She was very professional and helped me discuss placement, size and what I wanted. Desiree always made sure to triple check that it was what I wanted. Virtually no pain and the "worst" of it just felt like a lil cat scratch. Impeccably clean set up, cute shop and awesome playlist. Her rates were $250 per hour and my approx. 2"x2" line art tattoo with shading took about 45 minutes. (Of course that's subject to change for Desiree and for the design and I bet other artists might have different rates). I paid $100 at the consultation for the deposit and paid the rest after the tattoo. For some reason the Google maps address takes you to the parking lot. The shop is really around the corner from there though. Head toward the entrance of Ralph's and it's to the left of that. Btw would recommend eating at Nishiki for ramen right around the corner for afterward!“
