“I was excited to try this new salon in my neighborhood, I loved that they do so many varieties of designs and the artistic side to it but after having my new set for 5 days two nails popped off so I glued them back on with my own nail glue at home and then the next day another nail from a different finger popped off. The owner Brian was so friendly but I've never had this problem with any other salons I go to in the neighborhood so I won't be going back unfortunately :( UPDATE: I received a phone call from Brian immediately after leaving my review, he was so kind and friendly. He offered to make things right with a new set of nails, I haven't gone back yet due to scheduling but his attentiveness is incredibly appreciated!“

“I recently moved near Jolie Nail Lounge and made an appointment since a friend recommended it. I am so glad I went and will definitely be a returning customer! I got a gel x fullset with design and a gel pedicure with french tips. Jenny did amazing work on my nails and it looks exactly like the picture I showed to her. She took a lot of care in shaping my nail and the design and I am so happy with how it came out. I've gotten this design at other salons and Jenny's work is the best. Tony was so kind and patient with my pedicure. I really appreciated that he took time to check if I liked the shape and the thickness of the French tip and I love how they turned out! Both Jenny and Tony also gave me great recommendations on places to eat around the area. Mary was very friendly during my trip there and I truly had a great first time experience. “She was so great! I’m here on vacation and popped in randomly to get my nails done. I got exactly what I wanted, and she was so sweet and checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy with what I got. It was also very reasonably priced. Will definitely go again!

Requested style: She was very precise and careful with her art, and did a great job of making adjustments as we went along. The manicure/shaping was great and it even came along with lotion, cuticle gel and a hand massage!

“I’ve been going to MV nails since they opened and they’ve been absolutely great! They are so kind and welcoming every time I come and I’ve seen them be kind to other customers. They always offer to touch me up if I damage my nails. I once saw a girl get all 10 of her toes painted and say she didn’t like the color and they re-did them, no questions asked! They have ample parking in the back which they validate (unheard of in PB!). I hesitated to post this review because I don’t want it to blow up and get super crowded but they are so sweet and deserve every success! I typically see emily but Mary does great artwork/designs. For a dip mani and a gel pedi it was 110$ without tip. They also let you use Venmo or Zelle for tip which is amazing!“

I've been going for almost 2 years now and I often overhear other customers talking about how they've moved away and will still book an appointment with these wonderful ladies any time they are back in SD. I always work with Amy and she just does an amazing job every time, but I am certain you cannot go wrong with any of the girls here. It's excellent quality, you will not be disappointed. Call ahead, sometimes they are busy and can't always accommodate walk ins + leave some time for beach traffic and/or parking. I love my time spent here, I've always left impressed and people always compliment my nails.“

“I was visiting San Diego and stopped in here for a gel manicure because it was nearby our hotel. It was very clean and fast, and my manicure has lasted for over 3 weeks with no chipping. This is the longest a gel manicure has ever lasted for me. I’m very impressed and sad I don’t live in San Diego because it would be my new go-to spot!“

I walked in around 9:57 and the place was completely packed but the owner still sat me immediately and placed a technician with me. I showed them pictures of what I wanted but the technicians who could do the design were all busy. While I tried to figure out a different design and colors, the owner told me they could work some things out to accomplish my design (I was extremely grateful, especially since it was my birthday nails. I believe I had Alex for my pedicure and Tiffany for my nails. Alex was very sweet and patient. Tiffany executed my idea and worked diligently to find the color matches (I appreciate that)! I went to Alex and found he is very good and highly recommend him. He has a very unique and different approach to doing Hair and he's very quick at what he does but he was great at listening to my concerns when I wanted him to fine-tune my haircut a little more to my own personal standards as a hairdresser,. He was very patient and a great listener and didn't have an ego at all with me being very detail oriented about exactly how I wanted my haircut. He gave a great blowout to my hair and used a product that I have since bought for myself because it made my hair feel amazing. For the services that I don't do, like Brazilian blowout, I have been referring clients to him to get that service done if they want, with him. He's a very nice person and has lots of experience... “This is a friendly local nail salon that also offers waxing services! I treated my boyfriend and I to mani pedis and I have mixed feelings about the results. The location itself is easy to find, has parking, and the store interior is beautiful and looks clean! We both got basic pedicures and I got a gel manicure with cat eye design (extra $10) while my boyfriend got a regular manicure with nail buff shine (extra $6). My manicure came out nice but the male nail technician didn't seem to know how to do the cat eye well--it's shiny but the reflectiveness of the cat eye is all over and isn't as 3D looking. Both my boyfriend and I thought the salon cut back at our cuticles too much. I started getting dry skin and peeling bits days after the services and my boyfriend actually has an infected toe because they cut very deep into the side of his toenail. Nails were shaped nicely but the heavy cutting of the cuticles makes me not want to return. Regarding price, I think they have the best prices around and are reasonable for the services! If you pay cash, you also get a discount. Overall, relaxing experience with friendly staff but the aftermath was not great. I would recommend telling them to push back on your cuticles but not cut them too much.“
