They had an issue with their booking system so I did have a short wait at the beginning but did not mind at all. In terms of the acrylics I got I can honestly say these might be the most perfect set of nails I’ve had in years. I will definitely be going back!“

“I recently moved near Jolie Nail Lounge and made an appointment since a friend recommended it. I am so glad I went and will definitely be a returning customer! I got a gel x fullset with design and a gel pedicure with french tips. Jenny did amazing work on my nails and it looks exactly like the picture I showed to her. She took a lot of care in shaping my nail and the design and I am so happy with how it came out. I've gotten this design at other salons and Jenny's work is the best. Tony was so kind and patient with my pedicure. I really appreciated that he took time to check if I liked the shape and the thickness of the French tip and I love how they turned out! Both Jenny and Tony also gave me great recommendations on places to eat around the area. Mary was very friendly during my trip there and I truly had a great first time experience. “I’ve been going to MV nails since they opened and they’ve been absolutely great! They are so kind and welcoming every time I come and I’ve seen them be kind to other customers. They always offer to touch me up if I damage my nails. I once saw a girl get all 10 of her toes painted and say she didn’t like the color and they re-did them, no questions asked! They have ample parking in the back which they validate (unheard of in PB!). I hesitated to post this review because I don’t want it to blow up and get super crowded but they are so sweet and deserve every success! I typically see emily but Mary does great artwork/designs. For a dip mani and a gel pedi it was 110$ without tip. They also let you use Venmo or Zelle for tip which is amazing!“

“I was visiting San Diego and stopped in here for a gel manicure because it was nearby our hotel. It was very clean and fast, and my manicure has lasted for over 3 weeks with no chipping. I walked in around 9:57 and the place was completely packed but the owner still sat me immediately and placed a technician with me. I showed them pictures of what I wanted but the technicians who could do the design were all busy. While I tried to figure out a different design and colors, the owner told me they could work some things out to accomplish my design (I was extremely grateful, especially since it was my birthday nails. I believe I had Alex for my pedicure and Tiffany for my nails. Alex was very sweet and patient. Tiffany executed my idea and worked diligently to find the color matches (I appreciate that)! I went to Alex and found he is very good and highly recommend him. He has a very unique and different approach to doing Hair and he's very quick at what he does but he was great at listening to my concerns when I wanted him to fine-tune my haircut a little more to my own personal standards as a hairdresser,. He was very patient and a great listener and didn't have an ego at all with me being very detail oriented about exactly how I wanted my haircut. He gave a great blowout to my hair and used a product that I have since bought for myself because it made my hair feel amazing. For the services that I don't do, like Brazilian blowout, I have been referring clients to him to get that service done if they want, with him. He's a very nice person and has lots of experience... “Extremely professional and friendly service for me and my friends. We were able to get settled in quickly with no wait times (despite doing a walk-in with a party of four) and they were very thorough and efficient with getting our manicures and pedicures done. I got the paraffin wax massage treatment done on my hands and it helped with evening out my skin tone so much! My hands are drier and more tanned than the rest of my arms (due to me wearing sweatshirts all the time), but the paraffin wax massage treatment gave instant results and my skin looked much better afterward! “Kai Nails is one of the BEST deals in San Diego - especially if you see Emma! She is truly an artist, and I've never seen someone so quick and efficient. She recently did a gel manicure for my wedding, and it turned out so beautiful. The crazy part is that it lasted for 3 weeks - throughout my entire honeymoon in Costa Rica. I was swimming, zip lining, tanning, hiking, hot tubbing - and they stayed on, chip-free! Usually at other nail salons, my gel manicures start chipping or peeling up after a week if I'm in the ocean or doing anything active. But at Kai Nails, Emma is magic! I highly recommend her.“

“This is a friendly local nail salon that also offers waxing services! I treated my boyfriend and I to mani pedis and I have mixed feelings about the results. The location itself is easy to find, has parking, and the store interior is beautiful and looks clean! We both got basic pedicures and I got a gel manicure with cat eye design (extra $10) while my boyfriend got a regular manicure with nail buff shine (extra $6). My manicure came out nice but the male nail technician didn't seem to know how to do the cat eye well--it's shiny but the reflectiveness of the cat eye is all over and isn't as 3D looking. Both my boyfriend and I thought the salon cut back at our cuticles too much. I started getting dry skin and peeling bits days after the services and my boyfriend actually has an infected toe because they cut very deep into the side of his toenail. Nails were shaped nicely but the heavy cutting of the cuticles makes me not want to return. Regarding price, I think they have the best prices around and are reasonable for the services! If you pay cash, you also get a discount. Overall, relaxing experience with friendly staff but the aftermath was not great. I would recommend telling them to push back on your cuticles but not cut them too much.“
