First time filler! Well Radiesse does not operate in the same way as traditional dermal fillers. It is a biostimulator. Over time it will induce collagen production. Which at my age I definitely could use. Plus I'm a bit wary of dermal fillers. Yeah they can be "dissolved" but not really. Therefore I chose Radiesse. At my consult I was seen by the RN Kellie. She is super sweet! Very laid back and did not try to push other procedures or products. She listened to my concerns and approached the solutions in a conservative manner. We agreed on one goal of Radiesse and to follow up in 3-4 months. Day of the procedure. I was brought back pretty quickly. Numbed. I felt like it was fast but honestly it must've worked because the injection was almost painless. The pricks hurt more than the actual injection if that makes sense. I felt like I was getting dental work done. That's what I would compare the process to. I could feel pressure but not necessarily pain. Kellie took time to address the shadows and areas of volume loss. She noted one side was more "deflated" (my word lol) than the other. Apparently that's the side I sleep on when my back sleep training fails lol. Afterwords I was swollen and looked as if I'd been in a fight lol. Although it's swollen I can feel/see some slight changes. Others may not but I didn't pay for others; I did this for me. My chin crease is less pronounced. I feel a tightness in the lower face surrounding my chin. I believe she called this the pre jowl sulcus? It's a bit sore (I'm now one day post). The day before it felt hard and if you didn't research before you'd probably freak out about lumps/bumps. I also feel tightness when I try to yawn but no pain. Like I said *I* can see/feel a difference. My husband didn't even notice lol. Will I be back? We'll see! I'm happy with treatment so far! Other info: the office is clean. Front desk reception: ok. I think it would be nice to offer patients water or something. It was very hot yesterday! Parking is available right in front of the office but the spaces are limited. I've been getting lucky so far!

Loved my experience here. First timer, was made to feel welcome and comfortable. The staff was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. The place is beautiful and also has parking. The injections were painless and clean, and I'm happy so far with the results.

I've been seeing Dr. Hilinski for several years and he's performed a variety of procedures on me, including: Botox (forehead, 11's, eyes), fillers (cheeks, lips, smile lines), an IPL facial, a lower Blepharoplasty, under eye laser treatments and a flawless rhinoplasty. Dr. Hilinkski is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to every surgical and non-surgical facial procedure. So I was super excited when I learned he was expanding services and opening up a Med Spa right next to his office- how convenient!!! Between going to Dr. Hilinkski's office then switching to the Med Spa, I was there 15 times last year! The Spa is so beautifully decorated it belongs in a magazine! It's well lit, spacious and super relaxing. Nelly who runs the front desk is an angel! She's so welcoming and sweet. We always have great conversations when I come in. I love that she always remembers details from my last appointments. She also is insanely talented at microblading eyebrows. Her before and after pictures are stunning! If you want the most amazing but still natural looking lips in San Diego, go see Kellie! I always get compliments on my lips. She enhances them without overdoing it. I literally would never let anyone but her touch my lips. She's also great with Botox and any other type of injectable. She's basically done my entire face. I look natural (not frozen) just without any wrinkles. I love her. The Spa also has its own esthetician, Jamie, who is awesome! She offers peels, facials and the super popular hydrafacial. This machine sucks all of the gross stuff out of your skin and leaves your face glowing! I highly recommend booking an appointment with her. There is also a full service hair salon within the spa. I haven't tried that part out, but I have no doubt they have great stylists. I highly recommend Dr. Hilinkski for all facial surgical needs and recommend Kellie and Jamie @ JH Med Spa for anything else you need!
