Blatchford's is a highly professional organization, as well as a family run business with a personal touch. They are so knowledgeable in their craft. Kate and Lisa have been cleaning and repairing my antique and newer oriental rugs for 25 years. There was a bad flood at my house recently, and Lisa literally saved my drenched rugs by her fast action. She even found a way to restore a favorite runner's background from a flood damaged blotchy bubble gum pink to its previous cream color. And when my dog rubbed himself on 2 rugs after he got sprayed by a skunk, Blatchfords got the stink out of the rugs when it took another few months to get the dog back to normal.... read full review
We had an expensive 30 year old Bokhara rug that needed replacement of the end tassels. The replacement of the tassels by Blatchfords and washing made the rug look like new and ready for another 30 years
Lisa Wagner CRS, NIRC Certified Rug Specialist is very knowledgable about rug making and cleaning. I have a wool rug that my dog pee'd on and I reached out to many rug cleaners in San Diego and Lisa responded to my inquiry with a very extensive explanation about my rug and the risks and benefits of cleaning it. From just one picture, she identified it as a tuft (opposed to woven) rug and that areas of this rug that have been cleaned in the past by my Bissell had left a bit of moisture in the backing foundation because the machine is not strong enough to remove what it puts in.
