Peter and his team were so kind, patient and compassionate while helping me bury my loved one on the east coast. They were available to me at any time and made sure all details were taken care of. Their respect and knowledge of Jewish laws and practices were so helpful. They provided much support during our sadness as we grieved the loss of our loved one. Much gratitude and thanks. Highly recommend using them.
I'm a rabbi and have had many of my congregants use Am Israel's services. I've worked with many Funeral Homes over the years and these folks are top notch. Caring, compassionate, and always responsive to our needs.
If you are looking for guardian angels at one of the most stressful times of your life then this should be your go to mortuary. When we went to Am Israel for preneed arrangements we were asked some questions that seemed strange at the time. We did not really think much of it at the time. When we were at need it all made sense. We were not asked a bunch of questions to file the death certificate. They took care of it all since they had all the information they needed from that initial visit. When I could not remember what the deceased wanted to be buried in it took a quick phone call to Am Israel to get the answer. The death occurred late March of 2020 which was the beginning of the pandemic at 5AM on Sunday morning. Since the funeral was limited to just a few people and no one was safely able to fly in anyway when asked when I wanted the funeral I said Monday because there was no need to wait. Things were crazy then and instead of Vince saying that was too soon since he had to get the death certificate before they could do a funeral his answer to me was he would do his best to make it happen but unfortunately it was not under his control. We wound up changing the day to Tuesday but that was our choice not Am Israel's suggestion. We had some problems caused by the cemetery shortly after the stone was installed. Peter dealt with the cemetery for us and got the stone fixed because he did not want me to be upset. This was above and beyond since it was not his responsibility but yes he is just that caring. As you can see I cannot say enough good things about Peter and the staff at Am Israel. They truly were my guardian angels.
