The pictures listed on the website for this property are not current and are false advertising for a beautiful sandy beach that no longer exists. We rented this property for our mother's 90th birthday so she could have easy access to the sand and water. The photo shows a grassy area leading to a sandy beach off the beach front deck. There is no grass and no dry sand....instead there is a steep sandy slope leading to large bounders blocking access to the water. There was no way for her to climb down the slope and over these boulders. We rented this house off the OLD photos of a beach that doesn't exist. BEWARE!!! FALSE ADVERTISING! The property we rented was a beautiful duplex on the beach; however, the pictures were totally misleading. The duplex itself is great but there is NO sandy beach. The pictures show a grassy area in front of the deck leading to a sandy beach; however, there was no grass and no dry sandy beach any longer! There was a steep hill of sand off the deck with huge boulders trying to prevent erosion. Therefore you had to scale down the hill and climb over the boulders to get to the wet sand and ocean.Also the upper unit had RATS and not only did we hear them scurrying around the unit at night, we found rat dropping everywhere....all over the floor and on the furniture....disgusting.They also advertise a fire pit which we used one night and we were immediately contacted by the guard and instructed to put it out as it is NOT ALLOWED at the houses on Beach Road due to smoke.Lastly, on our 6th night of out 7 night vacation a large wave came onto the deck and broke the entire deck in half....totally unuseable. Therefore we couldn't go outside on deck for two nights....we ended up leaving a full day early. Chris gave us a refund for one night however the deck was unuseable for two nights and we never would have paid the very high weekly rate had we seen recent photos of the condition of the beach and the extremely difficult access to the ocean....no stairs and over huge boulders. FALSE ADVERTISING led us to pay a huge nightly rate for something that no longer exists!Furthermore Chris never sent an exterminator to deal with the rats and will not respond to our emails, calls or texts regarding a fair accommodation for these issues after he gave us a refund for one day. We would not rent anything from Beach Road Realty again!
