The Cut

Shout out to Juan! I messaged last night, and they quickly fit me in for an appointment today. I needed a fix after my previous haircut (at a different shop) didn't go so well. I have some tricky "cowlicks" and I know that cutting/styling my hair does present challenges for some barbers. Juan was a true vet and gave me a more personalized haircut instead of taking a "one size fits all" approach. Altogether, Juan was detail oriented, asked questions, and made sure I left with a great cut. Thanks, and I'll be back!

Took my son, Austin - 14 & going into HS, to Juan for the first time today. We had been going to SuperCuts but Austin decided he now wanted "a real barbershop". I found The Cut here on Yelp. Juan was the only one there and we were the first appt of the day. At first I thought 45 minutes was long for a cut. But ... I soon learned that Juan schedules plenty of time for each person so no one feels rushed. He was friendly and the conversation flowed easy. Juan was very kind & patient when Austin wasn't sure what he wanted. After sharing what he'd had previously, Austin changed it a bit. Juan asked Austin if he liked what he was doing as he was progressing thru the cut with different techniques in each area. He also explained the terminology used for some of styles and techniques. And... he cleaned up a bit Austin's peach-fuzz of a mustache too. ;) Juan took his time to ensure Austin had a good experience and liked his cut. I can see why he has great reviews. We will be going back.

Wish I took before pics because I looked like a mop. Juan hooked me up with a great haircut. My wife said it’s the best cut I’ve had since we’ve been together ? so if that doesn’t say enough.I live in the Santa Cruz mountains but will make the drive to get a haircut from Juan for sure.
