The people in information station can be more welcoming or friendly. There were 2 greeters, one older Caucasian woman and a young Asian lady. I walked in and caught the eye contact with the causation woman so I smiled. She immediately looked away and ignored me. I just needed to confirm the direction to the radiology department, but her gesture obviously implied that she didn't want to help me. As I walked closer to the station, the Asian lady looked up and asked if she could help pointed me to the right direction. She was pleasant and helpful. But geez, if the Caucasian woman is a volunteer, she is obviously not enjoying it. If this is her career, she needs another job or better training. I usually go to the Palo Alto site, and will not come back to San Carlos. Thanks for your attention.

I have had nothing but great experience at PAMF in San Carlos. Love my Primary Care doctor, have had great experiences at Urgent Care, Surgery Center, Lab Center and with all the Specialist I have seen. The administrative staff and billing department have been a pleasure to work with and have gone out of their way to answer any questions I have. They also offer free programs and seminars that help me take control of my health and be proactive before issues arise. I feel very lucky to have a PAMF location in my home town.

Kind of weird to be giving a hospital 5 stars, but alas such has been my luck. I broke 2 fingers recently, and the urgent care referred me to a hand specialist at this location. I had planned to see that doctor maybe a month later? But I was called by his office the next day, asking if I wanted the appointment the next Monday! My mind was swirling, but the person on the other end of the phone was really patient with me, and assured that I should definitely take this appointment as it was specially opened for me by the request of urgent care. I finally came to my senses and accepted. I went to the doctor, who then urged me to get surgery the next day! Again, I was overwhelmed that such drastic measures had to be taken for 2 fingers, but he reassured me this was the best course of action. Thus, I had to come back again the next day for my first surgery. I met a bunch of the staff who were all very nice and kind. I told them it was my first surgery, and that I was shaking from nerves not from the cold. Everyone took extra care to give me blankets and make sure I felt comfortable. I went back 3 times after that for check ups. Happy to report I'm on the path to recovery (and a lot of physical therapy). But eternally grateful to everyone at this hospital for making such a difficult time that much easier.
