“Karlon Kepcke, the owner, helped me through a difficult period of healing. Great studio!“
“YES! This is my new favorite workout. Sharon truly excels in her field. Her innovative approach inspires her students to continuously progress. Moreover, her distinctive teaching style and techniques fulfill her promises of healing and integrating Pilates into our daily lives. As a result, everything feels lighter and more effortless.“
“If you are looking for one on one pilates instruction I highly recommend Carmen Zeni. And if you haven't considered it I would encourage trying it. I am starting my third year of pilates with Carmen. I am an athlete; played college tennis and still do. Pilates - is critical to my ability, at 74, to play singles 2,3 times a week. And to work on my overall strength and flexibility and posture. Carmen has a rare combination deep pilates knowledge, knowledge of the human body and people skills. My flexibility and body strength has increased since I started and Carmen has been great helping me rehab from various injuries when needed. Her studio has great gear including a reformer, trapeze table and core align. If you want to learn pilates or expand your work Carmen's studio wonderful.“
“I live in New York and I love my Pilates sessions with Sid in CA!Long story short, in 2020 I started doing duet sessions with a friend from Sausalito, and although exercising on zoom had not been my thing, I loved and missed Pilates, so I gave it a try. I am so happy I did, Sidney is a fantastic instructor and I advanced more with her on zoom than in the studio over past years. She is great at keeping the pace of a duet session, yet making sure our individual needs are met and adapting the flow as needed to incorporate specific exercises that may be beneficial to our sometimes aging achey bodies. She truly cares about proper Pilates form, flow and transitions, and keeps you on your toes with little tweaks here and there. I've been lucky to also do private sessions and during those Sid is great at workshopping moves that have been challenging to me, breaking them down in 'babysteps'. I have truly advanced and got stronger over the past few years and I have Sid to thank for that! Her passion for Pilates is contagious, as is her kindness. I am so happy to have met her!“
“I enjoy the staff and they are very friendly to me and helpful. I never enjoyed going to a gym as much as I have been.“
“After Cheryl showed me some specific exercises to do on the Cadillac machine, my sacrum/SI joints have never felt better. I feel like I had a successful surgery that made the problem go away for longer than it has in the past. Even after chiropractic adjustments, the joints go in and out of place with a sneeze or rolling over during sleep, or driving. It's been 2 days since I saw you and it's still going! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I could cry just knowing that there could be a solution to the daily discomfort and pain I have with sitting and most activities due to those joints (and others) constantly subluxating. I have a lot of mobility issues, injuries and pain due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Pilates is the one form of exercise I can do that helps instead of hurts me. I highly recommend classes or private lessons with Cheryl to help you get your strength and life back!“
“Fantastic! I enjoyed my 1 on 1 Pilates lessons with Sharman. She is professional, knowledgeable and very patient! The studio is spacious and clean and the teachers were friendly and genuinely wanted your Pilates experience to be top notch! Thank you, MLR“
“I have experienced the benefits of Oshana's literally healing arts for different reasons over at least a decade. She is an experienced physical therapist, who I originally visited following an injury, but she is also a practitioner of many approaches to body work. She really excels at devising a program suited to individual needs, is super perceptive about pain and movement, and is very practiced at prescribing methods to increase mobility and strength. So grateful for the all the help she has given me, and now look forward to attending some of her group sessions! Highly reccommend Oshana!“
“Until I met Laura, I was looking for a quick fix or a simple solution to my back troubles. After many months of suffering, and not finding any real support at Kaiser, I was referred to Laura by a friend. She helped me understand the mechanics of my problem, and got me started with doing exercises to strengthen the underlying weakness in my core. It's been a long, slow road but I am on my way to getting stronger and back to the things I did before my injury. Laura was the first stop on my true healing journey- she does great work, especially for people who are dealing with acute back injuries.“
“Dr. Lauren Malachowski is currently my treating physical therapist. As someone who has been both a physical therapy patient off and on for the past 40 years, and a rehabilitation professional who worked with physical therapists collegially, and co-treated patients with them, I am eager to let folks know what an exceptionally talented physical therapist Dr. Malachowksi is. Not only is she accomplished with all of the standard and cutting-edge knowledge and skill of a well-trained and licensed physical therapist, but she brings to the work a rare sensibility for grasping the whole person, along with a passionate commitment to assist patients in realizing their rehabilitation goals. Perhaps most unusual, I have found that within a very short time she showed an uncanny intuitive ability to understand exactly what I needed as a patient, despite my presenting with a complicated history of musculo-skeletal challenges. Dr. Malachowski’s uncommon insight as a clinician felicitously combines with an accurate empathic quality and a genuine relational facility that makes the experience of working with her fresh and effective. Most remarkable of all, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Malachowski forged a powerfully functional, individually-honed and fruitful therapeutic relationship with me, entirely through remote means.Eliezer T. “I really enjoy Club Pilates. I'm almost 80 yrs old and my goal was to gain strength. I especially like Rebecca's Tuesday class Center and Balance. all teachers are great and I encourage you to come try it out no matter what your age“
“I've had long-term shoulder problems for which my orthopedist prescribed physical therapy, in lieu of surgery. I have not gotten physical therapy until now due to piss-poor PT practitioners I have encountered in the past. One ortho surgeon insisted surgery was my only option and a far more credible ortho surgeon kept steering me to physical therapy since recovery from shoulder surgery is nearly a year long and very painful. I brought my daughter to Mill Valley Physical Therapy for knee rehab after her meniscus surgery. The PT pro was doing excellent work for my daughter so I thought, 'I'm already here; maybe I can try PT again while my daughter is working on her recovery.' I made an appointment to coincide with my daughter's next appointment. Fingers crossed! At my first appointment, my assigned PT Pro began by going over the MRI report, which she'd already read, and explained it to me so this non-medical professional (me) could understand which muscles are torn, which are in distress, where bone spurs are rubbing and degrading ligaments in my shoulder and, then!, explained all the secondary effects my body was likely feeling as a consequence of the main problems evident on the MRI. In short, she put in the effort before my appointment to be thoroughly prepared to begin fully informed treatment of my shoulders as soon as we met. My PT pro proceeded to work on my shoulders to ease the years-long pain I've endured. By my second appointment, I was already feeling relief in my shoulders and she began treatment to the secondary pain spots. Suddenly, I was feeling better, I was taking fewer muscle relaxers to sleep, and I was sleeping through the night without pain. I had not slept through the night without pain in years! I still have work to do to achieve my goals for my shoulders but I am highly confident, nay, extremely confident, my PT Pro will steadily guide me to heal and strengthen my body to the best of my capabilities. Also, the front office staff are super friendly and accommodating to get my appointments and my daughter's appointments to happen concurrently. They also regularly update my orthopedist on my progress. The other PT Pros not treating me or my daughter all know both my daughter and me by name and greet us enthusiastically and actively check in to see if we feel we are improving and asking if we need anything else for our comfort and rehabilitation. Sorry, this is a super long review but there are so many inadequate PT practitioners out there, I felt duty-bound to share with my Yelp Comminity the rare, professional, and highly competent group of professionals at Mill Valley Physical Therapy who are worthy of your trust.“
“Great studio! Highly recommend. Experienced instructors, everyone has really positive energy. Strong heat and humidity, lots of mirrors and comfortable/sturdy floor.“
“Dr McDonough has the perfect combination of physical therapy and Pilates skills. She not only treats any injury but gives you tools to maintain and strengthen your body. I learn techniques every session that I wish I had known earlier in life. She is an excellent clinician and teacher!“
