This was my best pregnancy experience ever, I believe I made a good choice by choosing Athena medical. The doctors here are very informative and very patient. I would recommend them to anyone. I was very nervous for my first c-section and all my fears were took away & I’m recovering very good.-Andrea J

The staff at the Katherine location are all fabulous! They are personable , caring, and professional. Dr. William Kheu has been life changing for me. He genuinely cares about how his patients are doing , he's 110% invested in your well being. He has a lot of patients , so the appts are quick, but if you need some time or have a concern , just say the word and you'll have his full attention . It's best to be prepared, quick , and concise with your concerns , as to best utilize your time with him. He gave me hope when I felt hopeless . He was my 6th appt looking for a primary care doctor , and nobody in town would touch me. My medical file is as thick as those huge telephone books they used to give out in the 80's, and I was constantly told that my needs were beyond their expertise. And this was with a R nurse/case worker with the Alliance accompanying me to all of my initial appts while searching for my new primary. She could not believe the response that I was getting from all of the docs. But when ai told Dr. Kheu the same info I had told every other doc, instead of turning me away, he was exited to work with me! He saw how defeated I felt when he looked in my eyes, and his eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. The first thing he taught me was that I was a complete person, and my health should be treated as such instead of having different specialists for each ailment/body part, He treated me with what he called integrated medicine , he treated my mind , body, and soul , as one complete&whole person, who had a name and a heart. I about fell out of my chair! I started bawling on our first appt, because I had been treated quite cruelly by my previous doc and felt as if I was nothing more than a number/Med patient and had forgotten what it felt like to feel seen and heard! I have flourished under his care. I went from 3 serious suicide attempts as a result of chronic pain from breaking my neck and arthritis in my spine, DDD & blown disc, to hopeful , stable and excited for what my future holds ! For the first time since breaking my neck, I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel and am hopeful for the first time in years. I cannot thank him enough. People tend to feel strongly about Dr Kheu , one way or another. They either Love him or strongly dislike him, and I for one LOVE having him as a doctor, and I think/hope that you will too! Just be straight with him and leave the theatrics at home and you'll be happy with the care you receive. If you are just drug seeking painkillers and that's it, don't bother. He's a smart cookie and he'll see right through you. Happy hunting it's not easy finding a good doctor.,
