Went in to check them out and Dennis was very personable and helpful and knowledgeable in helping me pick out a pair of glasses at the time I was also getting ready for the chalk it up festival at Fremont park Labor Day weekend and Dennis happened to sponsor a square for me to represent his store in the festival he donated a $250 to square for me to do a design for him this is the design I came up with.

Dennis knows what he's talking about, has been in the business a long time and isn't pressured to 'sell' you products. He's got some really unique styles in his shop that's nestled off 33rd street in Oak Park. He can find you what you're looking for if it isn't on his shelf that day and he's also one of the only people that I've found who can put glass instead of plastic lenses.

I had heard about That Guy Eyewear, since I'd been putting their ads together for The Sacramento News & Review, until we had to shut down print operations due to the 'rona (RIP Alt Weeklies).*That Guy was part of a let's try this again, hopeful revitalization of our beloved yet neglected corner of the city on Del Paso Blvd. Sometimes shit happens and we can't do anything but move on. And so we do.Much to my surprise and delight, That Guy has found a new home in the OP. Just in time to replace my 6 y/o glasses! 2 pair--computer and distance. They beat up af.Dennis outfitted me with 2 new pair that are AMAZE! The frames he suggested were spot on.... read full review
