I've waited awhile before posting. One thing I will say Christy is good when it comes to braids or loc maintenance but starting locs- that's a definite no. She clearly didn't know what she was doing when she 1. Said she made my locs because I could've gotten better had I ordered from Amazon 2. She did supposedly instant locs. Once done & styled they were nice. The problem came when after 1 week I took them down to put in a ponytail and OMG! I contacted her & showed her the pictures and she for some reason thought I didn't like the style. What!! She gave me $165.00 after I paid her almost $700.00! So no I would not recommend her and potential customers, beware!

First let me say I've been going to Christy for years with my locks. Since I've had a kid I haven't allowed anyone to be in her hair until now. Her hair is majorly curly and she needed a trim asap. The scheduling g is quick and easy and was able to get her in a couple of days later which worked with our schedule. While there PRO TIP: bring a tablet, phone with a charge or something to distract them. It only took about a hour from start to finish but was a big help. It was much better than I thought it would be with it being her first time at a salon. She handled and played with her with care to help her decompress and feel comfortable there. She did not like getting her hair washed bit she advised me to hold her in a crate hold (at 2 years old lol) but it definitely helped with the shampoo and conditioning. While sitting for the blow drying n g and trim she did perfect with the tablet/phone and sat right through it. It was so awesome seeing my baby girl love her har and we will definitely be back!

I didn't want to leave this but I'm conflicted as to what to do. I haven't even had my appointment yet and I'm beyond frustrated. I have been trying to adhere to all the guidelines she set- which is a lot more than I'm used to!!!!- and paid the deposit. I tried contacting her ASAP which was sadly the day before letting her know that my dr scheduled an ultrasound and what could we do? She has yet to respond though her hours state open. I've had to double and triple message on Yelp, she doesn't respond to texts. I'm starting to regret even booking as the communication is so poor. The previous review of knotless braids had me convinced (by the ONE review) to book with her. The reviews on her site and pictures of her work made me really want to get my hair completed by her..... But at this rate with no communication and it's almost 5 pm the day before I'm losing my patience and just gonna look elsewhere.
