Before going to this location for a typing test, I read all of the reviews. Based on the reviews I was well prepared. I took in a pair of headphones to drown out the noise. Once I was checked in, which was about 9:15 a.m. I was escorted to a room, the door is wide open the entire time. I was given a seat right next to the open door. I was given instructions and left to take the test. The person assisting me told me I could take it as many times as I needed to and gave me a heads up that they close at 12 p.m. on that particular Friday. Overall my experience was terrific and I'm going back on Tuesday to take advantage of other services that were offered to me. The staff I interacted with were super friendly, made me feel welcomed, shared great information on services they offer and gave me the feeling that they are there to help me succeed. Their words were very encouraging. I'm giving this a four star rating rather than a five (if I could give 4 and three quarters I would) because the person who escorted me and another male worker kept coming in and out of the room to check on me, while I was testing and it made me nervous and it was distracting. I understand they were just being helpful though. Also, because I was placed next to the door, there was a lot of foot traffic that distracted me. After 30 minutes, I politely asked to be moved into the back corner. They were gracious enough to let me do so and understood without me telling them that the distractions were hindering me. After that they only came over if I called them. Lastly, in regards to the noise level and employees talking, on the day I went in it was busy and the employees were talking to other people who came in for assistance. Not everyone who goes in needs to take a test and conversations are required for the other services. If you're taking a test, bring some ear plugs or listen to music with a pair of headphones if that doesn't distract you. I would definitely recommend this place.

Been coming here ever since I was 17 looking for my first job. Started me off on the right path learning how to write my resume, look for a job, how to present myself, and gain work experience. I'm not sure if they still do this, but being a nervous teen on getting my first job and getting my first work experience I was offered by the social worker to be part of a 3 (or 6) month program for a non-profit organization that does pay you to gain some experience as a start. This is what got me started. Now I'm 27 and work the best job I could ever have thanks to this spot. I now only come here to update my resume on the computers when I need to. Only thing I have against this spot is a lot of their job posting on their boards are old and not updated. Other than that, if you are in need of help to better yourself, I really do recommend going to career centers such as this place.

So I'm sure this place means well but my experience was not pleasant. PROS - Clean place, was not crowded at all (I arrived at 9am), and I was signed up to take my typing test within 5 minutes. CONS - 1. Online it says you have unlimited amount of times to retake your typing test however the lady told me I only had 3 chances. 2. THE BIGGEST CON FOR ME - As I am trying to concentrate in the computer room while taking my typing test the employees are sitting in the middle of the room at this circle table having full blown loud ass conversations about absolutely nothing. My concentration was destroyed to the point my wpm were getting lower and lower I literally gathered my belongings and stormed out. In my opinion, it is highly inconsiderate and unprofessional to be extremely disruptive while somebody is trying to better their self by taking a typing test so they can hopefully get a rewarding career.
