“The Gender Health Center is welcoming and friendly. I appreciate that the counselors here made an effort to meet me where I was at, and worked with me on my own timeline. I have struggled to get gender affirming healthcare, but the staff here empathized with my situation and gave me useful resources to get proper medical care. “I have been coming to SDG for over four years. I was referred by a co-worker who has been going there for a while. Since then I have referred over a dozen co-workers to them. The staff there are so friendly and know you by name walking in. Kaylani was so nice when she noticed I was having a problem walking down the hall and offered to help assist me. Lee does a detailed job of cleaning your teeth. P-Jay who works in the back is friendly and makes you feel right at home. The ladies that work the front, Rebekah, Evelyn, and Luz are so helpful in answering questions and always greet you with a smile. Rebekah was so kind when I called to see if they would be able to help an employee with an emergency and offered to get him in right away. You can't find this kind of service in the medical field and should take the opportunity to try them out.“

“My first visit to NFP was so great. From Jolene, to the MA who got my vitals and info, to Dr. Hwang... everyone was so nice and attentive. Dr. Hwang didn't rush me at all. He took my full history and took time to understand anything I brought up or mentioned. I was worried about diabetes because I had Gestational during my pregnancy, they were able to test me in office within 5 mins they had my A1C results and I was within normal. It was so nice to leave and know I didn't need to worry about that. He sent a full blood work up to the Sutter Lab that was 3 mins away and he sent me an email before the end of the day explaining all results and any next steps. I've been lucky enough to never really need a ton of medical care or attention (outside of my pregnancy) but I'm happy to have finally found a good practice as I start to approach an age where I might need more check ins.“
