A friend recommended lymphatic drainage massage after surgery as my swelling was extensive. I was a bit skeptical at Christina’s technique, but by the end of my sessions (I’ve had 2 so far), I felt immediate relief in the areas where the swelling was most extreme. She was very gentle (which was nice because my limbs were sensitive to touch) and explained what she was doing along the way. She also explained what was happening within my lymphatic system and gave me things to try when feeling discomfort at home and work. Outstanding scar massage therapy! Earlier this year, I experienced very painful, retracted scarring after bilateral mastectomies. My surgeon recommended scar massage, but my health care system did not offer that service. I began to research local resources, and found the Jungle + Grace Massage Studio. This was the only massage studio that I could find in the Sacramento area providing this kind of specialized care. After communicating with Christina Acosta about her experience with similar cases, I scheduled an appointment. What a wonderful choice! I felt immediately comfortable in her care--she listened, explained the healing process and her techniques, and gave me suggestions regarding home care. I felt immediately better after our first session, and have continued to improve with subsequent sessions (total three so far). My surgeon was very impressed by my progress, and wanted to hear more about Christina Acosta's massage services. I want more people to learn how they can also be helped with their own pain by going to Jungle + Grace!
