Excellent technique for the price! I have long hair, and lots of it with layers. Despite that, no one takes shortcuts (no pun intended). I've been to the bargain chains that charge the same as this place, and the end product is incomparable. No matter how I part my hair, every strand is perfectly cut, no strays. I used to go to salons that charge 3 times the price, and...why? This place does the same work with as much precision and it's more than reasonably priced. Note: I've only gotten haircuts here, so I can't attest to other services.
Gotta give it up for JR Hair and Nails. They made my tween's first cut & color a fond and stylish memory. Some places really struggle with girls' hair. JR's makes it look easy. Very logical COVID policies too!
I finally got a Covid-19 haircut. After 4.5 months of self-butchering with scissorrs, I needed a professional cut. I found J R mentioned on the Sacramento subreddit as people looked for barbers willing to work outside. So many are closed temporarily due to a massive heat wave, followed by massive wildfire smoke, making it hellish to work outside. I made an appointment for 1030, washed my hair beforehand, and got there a little early and even helped them set up the tent, as the upper supports were too high for the ladies to reach. It's outside, with masks on. Ann was my barber and she was very thorough and polite. She was able to do it without asking me to hold my mask in place with my hand. I got a 'number 2', although I think it's closer to a 'number 3' (probably for the best, since it covers the bald spot better). Other customers were also treated courteously, including the walk-in's. Men's cuts are $15 before tip, ladies $17 before tip, bring cash.
