Elly is incredibly talented and knowledgeable. She will give you the BEST hair cut you have ever had. The over all experience is exceptional from the shampoo, head message, cut, blow dry. Elly will take the time to chat with you and figure out the extra look you want to achieve. You will leave looking amazing and feeling great. I'm so happy she is cutting hair again. I have been coming to Elly Kubota for many, many years and I think after being a client for that long its time I wrote a review so others looking for a great hairstylist knows that I found one right here. Elly is Passionate, very kind, and an all-around great hairstylist who knows that great hair is an important aspect in anyone’s life. In the past I have tried other hairdressers and they never seemed to truly understand my wants like Elly has. From the moment you walk into her salon space you feel welcomed and important to her. She lets you know during the hair consultation she really does try to understand your vision of what it is you want. When discussing you can tell she is listening and really taking in what you are saying to better understand the \\\"vision\\\". At the end of the consultation you start to feel excited and safe in her hands and with that whatever is about to transpire is about to change you in the best way. Be it a simple haircut, a blow out, or color Elly as my hair dresser is also always very focused on the \\\"integrity of the hair\\\" as she calls it. Yes I have walked into her space and asked for something absolutely crazy that I saw on TV or social media, and most hairstylists might do it and damage your hair but not Elly. Elly will counsel you and really have you look at the pros and cons of doing a huge change quickly and what it may do to the hair. Now I'm not saying she can’t get it done believe me she can , but she will always make sure your hair is as protected as it can be to get there and makes sure you understand the steps clearly. Before I started going to Elly I never knew what she meant by keeping the integrity of my hair, but believe me she explains it perfectly. No matter how you want your hair to look she will always make sure that whatever you want and she does will always keep your hair looking its best. Also Elly uses quality hair products as well which is a huge plus for me. As someone who likes nice things, quality products are also a must. She introduced me to many products within the line she uses called Kevin murphy. Let me tell you when I first started coming to Elly I was guilty of using drug store products and using them the why I \\\"thought\\\" they should be used. Thus my hair was not happy and I could never get the results I wanted from them. Now I find myself never wanting to run out of my favorite Kevin Murphy products as they have become staples for styling and washing my hair. AND Elly taught me how to use products correctly and what products I thought would be great for my hair actually may be too heavy or just down right not right for my hair, which I loved that she showed me. I know that when I come to Elly for my color, haircuts, and even blowouts I am going to leave her salon feeling more beautiful than I ever could feel. She brings that sort of feeling out of you. She sees your visions and implements them. She is someone I truly trust with my hair, someone that fits me in when my hair needs that extra TLC. She is a person I can count on to really be more than just a hairstylist she is a teacher, a hairapist, and a remarkable person through and through.
