I first went to Amelia 7ish years ago. I got a cut and color right before returning to work, from maternity leave. The first thing that's different about her, she listens. She takes into consideration what you want done, the length, thickness and texture of your hair and determines the best way to give you what you want. (I've been to places where the stylist looks at the picture and only responds with "your hair isn't like that.") Amelia has never let me down with cut and color. At a couple of my appoints I literally just said "I trust you" and let her have at it. It turned out great. She's also quick to gage the situation and talk you off the ledge when you go in with hair to the middle of your back and want a super shirt A-line. But, she's absolutely willing to gradually give you what you want (Why don't we leave it a little longer, for now. If you want it shorter, we'll go shorter!) The second quality, that I appreciate, is that she's efficient. She knows her clients have lives and she want to make sure they get back to them as quickly as possible. But she isn't shy to just chat either. Amelia does beautiful work. I believe you get what you pay for. These aren't $15 hair cuts. But, she's fairly priced for what she does. She's even forgiven me for cheating on her with other stylists. All in all, as long as Amelia is working, Amelia will be my stylist.
