“I just want to say that I didnt believe in acupuncture 15 years ago , but tried it after a car accident and being in terrible pain. I didn't want to use narcotic pain killers as they were trying to prescribe me so a friend recommended Dr. wan and I tried it . “I have visited many different Acupuncture Clinics in the Roseville Rocklin area. Eventually I met Dr. Chang. He is a very knowledgeable doctor, not just an acupuncturist. He is also very knowledgeable with Chinese Herbal Medicine. He will make different types of herbal medicine for you, and you will take differently according to your health. Eventually you will become your own doctor and know your problems according to your symptoms. I love this part.I had many conversations with Dr. Chang and compared his skills with other acupuncturists. Usually, other acupuncturists will release your pain simply punch lots of needles around the pain area. Actually, this type of treatment just releases your pain, but does not get rid of your problem, the pain will come back after a few days, or sometimes it will cause you other problems. Dr. Chang focuses on getting rid of your problems, and not just to release your pain.He also has practiced Chi Gong for many decades. He teaches his patients some simple Chi Gong to release their pain and to build stronger health. He tries his best to save his patients money. He has a very good heart (他真有一颗菩萨心). He is also a true Buddhist. He uses Buddhist knowledge to help his patients to balance their emotions, release their stress and improve their sleep quality.After remodeling my house, I had a lot of pain from. I was dealing with many issues. I fell down from the ladder, had menopause, lots of stress from my tenants for the last few months. I couldn’t sleep for weeks. All the pain almost killed me. “I've had two nerve compression problems (sciatica and left L5 nerve compression), both diagnosed by MRI and neurologists' physical exams. The sciatica made sitting painful and this limited my driving. The worst L5 compression symptom was pain on weight bearing on my left leg, making even house keeping difficult. Anna took care of both problems, allowing this 85 year old lady to continue aging in place. I'm a retired MD so I know what Western medicine offers for nerve pain: surgery if indicated and analgesics (NSAIDS, narcotics). None of these options were appropriate for me. I'm a strong advocate for physical therapy, although for my two nerve compression problems PT was not helpful. So thanks to Anna and her clinical skills in acupuncture, I got the treatments I needed and I'm back to taking care of myself!“

“My experience at Acupuncture Medical Center has been better than I could have anticipated. When I first came to Owen, I was dealing with tendinitis in my wrist and thumb, gut issues, hormonal dysfunctions, and other things I didn’t even know about until my first assessment. One of the main reasons I gave acupuncture a try was because my husband and I knew we wanted another baby soon, and my first pregnancy was extremely tough. I was sick the whole pregnancy with HG (hyperemesis gravidarum) and I knew i didn’t want to deal with sickness in pregnancy to that extent again, especially with a little toddler running around. Owen has worked on so many internal aspects of my health that not only quickly healed the tendinitis in my wrist, but helped me get pregnant and have such a different pregnancy experience physically and mentally this time around. I am still blown away by how healthy, strong, and mentally capable I feel this pregnancy. Not dealing with sickness to the same capacity has been absolutely amazing and I know that I will rely on Owen for my future pregnancies as well.
