I'm not usually the type of person to leave a low review or write reviews, but today's experience has left me baffled and upset. Much like the other one star review, i felt unwelcome and wasn't greeted coming in. That should have been already a red flag, but because I was referred by coworker of mine, I thought it'd be nice if I were to support a small business in the area! I've always had a bad experience with haircuts (maybe I didn't communicate properly in the past), so I thought this time it would be best to show her a picture and keep my words short (u-shape and long layers). She took one good look at it and proceeded to cut my hair. I trusted her and based on the reviews on here, I didn't feel the need to worry about how the cut will turn out. The sides of my hair were short and had more of a choppy layer when I wanted more of a face framing layer (attached picture). I paid $40 for a wash&cut (no longer $30) plus a generous tip and left in hopes I will grow into the new cut. Hours flew by and I was still not happy with my cut, I decided that I'd give her an opportunity to fix the cut instead of writing a bad review. I called the next morning and told her that it wasn't like the picture and if she can fix the cut and just cut it evenly across so it didn't look like I had a mullet. She was defensive on the phone and said I showed her a picture and that she didn't have time to fix it that day. I asked her what other days she was available and was willing to accommodate with her schedule. Instead, she sounded like she didn't want to fix anything. She ended up calling me 20 minutes later to tell me to come in the same day so she can fix it, but the bad experience doesn't end here... I came in to have my hair fixed and she was not happy. I was able to tell she probably had mention to her coworkers that I was coming in to get my hair fixed as they all peeked through from the other room(possibly to get a better look of the cut she gave me previously). The environment was unfriendly and she didn't seem like she wanted to fix my hair and rushed through it. As both sides of my hair were butchered off from the layers and only had length from the back, I decided to just cut my hair to the same length as my longest layer. She didn't end up charging me to fix my hair, but overall, she never apologized and instead blamed it on the picture. I came in with my hair past my chest and ended up leaving with hair to my shoulders. I should have been the one upset since I came in with balayage hair and left with most of it cut off. P.S. I've attached the picture of what I asked for and unfortunately, was not able to get a picture of cut she did previous. However, I was able to find a picture that was similar to the cut.

THIS IS MY GO-TO HAIR GIRL!!! I've gone to Ngoc for so long I don't even remember how long ago. Definitely before 2014 because when I had surgery and couldn't wash my own hair, I came to Ngoc and she would wash my hair (THE BEST HAIR WASHER). I'll admit... I f***** up once underestimating Ngoc's ability to do blonde.. I honestly never asked or knew she did blonde and wanted to try some new girl because my friend recommended me... and let me tell you.. Worst decision ever!!! because of that place I had to cut my hair above my shoulders because they were completely dead!!! Jesus Christ, took years for it to grow out and ever since... I've never betrayed Ngoc once since... and just come here to do black because I'm so traumatized from bleaching my hair that I will NOT dye my hair anything but black! Main thing I come to Ngoc is her JAPANESE STRAIGHTENING!!! She's the queen of Japanese straightening and the cheapest place I know of. Cheap and its actually straight... amazingly healthy sleek shiny straight. Price varies by how much hair you have and the length of it. It does take long.. 5-6 hrs long.. but Ngoc is so meticulous and makes sure it comes out super straight and she makes your time and money worth it!

This review is long overdue. Sammi is the an amazing hair stylist. When I first started seeing her three years ago, I had virgin black hair. We started with partial balayage and eventually to a blush toned rooty ombre (see photos attached). When we first started, she explained the coloring process clearly. Each time, my hair came out even better than my expectations. I get so many compliments on my hair and it's all thanks to Sammi! Most importantly, my hair has remained quite healthy considering how many times it's been processed with bleach. Sammi convinced me to let her lighten it gradually over time. So not only does she create gorgeous colors, she ensures I'll have beautiful and healthy hair. Sammi truly cares for her clients and has always gone above and beyond for me. I'm honestly shocked to even see a poor review on here. She recently colored my hair a gorgeous pastel strawberry sherbert color. This session took a full day... around 8 hours. While it was an absolutely beautiful color, it was inappropriate for my job. I was bummed I spent hundreds of dollars and would have to try and wash out the pink because of work. When it didn't wash out ... I panicked!! Usually pastel colors wash out very quickly, but Sammi uses top of the line toners that don't fade quickly. I reached out to Sammi, and she responded right away. She squeezed me into her completely booked Saturday during the busy holiday season. Despite being overbooked, she didn't rush and was so patient with me as I tried to decide on a color tone. She toned my hair darker and created a stunning work appropriate color. Sammi is a true professional and made efforts to ensure I am satisfied. Despite living an hour away, sometimes even longer with traffic, I won't let anyone else color my hair. I'm honestly so grateful to have Sammi as my hair stylist and recommend her wholeheartedly!!
