We have had two experiences with these folks. Definitely happy with our interactions. They came out same day and worked with our schedules. The first time they used the furnace warranty to pay for the fix. Since it wasn't a permanent fix they had to come out again a few months later and make a full repair.
I would give this place 4.5 out of 5 stars. My first experience wasn't the best, but when I reached out to the owner he went out of his way to fix it himself. The furnace in my new-to-me home stopped working completely and I was grateful to be able to make an appointment with Absolute Comfort within 2 days. The technician who came out to my house arrived very close to the start of the two hour window when they said they would arrive. I was glad that they were timely because I have dealt with other comapnies who really aren't. Once I showed him where the furnace was he went right to work. He quickly identified that an older clogged filter was causing the igniter to short. He removed the filter and installed a new igniter but let me know that he was out of stock of the filters, so he would give me an estimate to build an external filter box. I was a little surprised that he didn't have this common filter, but even more surprised by the suggested upcharge. I get it, the washable filter was dirty beyond repair, and my furnace was made in the 80's so installing the filter requires long arms to reach to the back of the motor, but that doesn't mean that a whole separate filter box ($$$) needs to be installed. The technician became annoyed with me when I suggested that I go to the local hardware store to pick up a new filter. Even though he had only been at my house for about 15 minutes, he said he didn't have time to wait for me to go to the local hardware store (5 minutes/7 blocks from my house) to get another filter and that I would have to pay a second diagnostic fee to have them come back out and put the filter in once I got the new filter... what?!?!? Keep in mind this company is based just blocks from my house. I realized there was no way to change the technician's mind so I paid him and sent him on his way, then called the owner back to ask him if this was really his company's policy. The owner was very understanding and came out the next morning to install the (widely available $6) filter. I really like supporting local businesses, so I want to be clear that I am satisfied with the work completed, but I wish it were a one-step process rather than this two-step process. I work a lot and have so little free time that I'd rather not do all this run around. I'm not going to put the name of the technician here on front street, I don't know what was going on in his life and his work schedule on that day that caused him to be imaptient with me, instead I want to highlight the owner Kevin who is incredibly professional and went out of his way to complete the job the right way.
Kevin and his team are wonderful! We had water damage under our house and the ducting needed replacement. I had 5 quotes that ranged from 1/2 day to 3 days for the work to be completed. Kevin and his helper did the job in half a day. Covered all floors, removed all trash, were very professional and so nice! The job was done perfectly.
