After demo and installing new flooring, the flooring started to lift a couple months later. I contacted Alfredo and the floor provider they assessed the floor a couple times with Alfredo stating that he could shoot glue to help keep it from lifting.

They had the floor manufacturer sent out to assess the lifting and they said it was due to kitchen cabinets being placed on top of the floating floors as well as the island being too heavy and the floors being installed right up to the wall as instead of being cut at the cabinets. DPD and Alfredo have yet to fit the issue. Going on two years and the response letter stated that we said we would not be installing kitchen...read full review

DPD demoed our tile and prepped our floors for new flooring to be installed by them. They also installed baseboards as well as painted. During demo they informed us we'd have to rent a machine so they can further prep the subfloor for the floating floor we had picked out. The installer was quick, about 3 days, he worked around our heavy but moveable KITCHEN ISLAND and would move it as needed. The island never left the inside of my home AND the installer even kept the island on top of the newly installed floor. After install we re-installed the lower kitchen cabinets, which again, were in the home during the whole demo and floor install. A few months after instal I noticed buckling of the floor at the seams. I called the company where I bought the store as well as left messages for DPD (Alfredo). They sent out an installer to check out what I was talking about(not anyone I'd ever seen before) and they informed me that there was an issue and it wasnt normal bulking. After he left DPD and the company I bought the floor from came to my house and asked what the other man that they sent said. I told them and Alfredo said " no I don't t think he said that" I told him yes he did he just left, call him. He repeated it Spanish next. I told him this was not normal even for a floating floor and its getting worse. He tried to tell me it was water(on water proof flooring) and then he said they could inject it with glue to hold it down(again on a floating floor). DPD and the other company told me theyd send out the actual manufacture of the flooring for an inspection next. The manufacturer came and right away asked if the floor was under the island and kitchen cabinets? We told him yes. The next letter we received was just a copt of the warranty sent from the company we bought the flooring from, of the manufacturer warranty stating that it was a floating floor and that cabinets and the island was too heavy to be placed on top of the floating floor. I sent a response saying "okay so go ahead and fix it because YOU installed the floating floor to the walls leaving NO space for kitchen cabinets and YOUR INSTALLER kept the island on the floors at all times and never cut around the island.DPDs response was that we told them "we were NOT going to put kitchen cabinets back into our KITCHEN". How is this not BEYOND ridiculous? No kitchen cabinets in a kitchen? I even have a text stating "the floors will go under the cabinets" somewhere there was miscommunication between DPD Alfredo and the man and his parents that ACTUALLY did the install. THAT IS NOT OUR FAULT. This company is out of line, lacks common sense, refused to fix there work or refund us for the floors, install, baseboads, and now new demo. My daughter has fallen due to the lifting of the floors, my grandma can barely walk w her walker due to the waved in the kitchen, hallway, dinning room, and living room. We are very disappointed with the lack of integrity this company has. "We're not putting kitchen cabinets or our sink or stove back in the KITCHEN", ya right! Where would this ever make sense?
