“In February 2024 our shared fence with our neighbors blew down. It was the original fence since 2005, so it was bound to happen. I got 3 quotes to replace the fence. Moises came and gave me a quote which was not the lowest but not the highest. What I liked about Moises is that he explained that Redwood was superior to cedar as it doesn't warp, and doesn't required sealant and much maintenance compared with cedar. In fact HQ fence only offers redwood as an option. Also they offer a 15 year warranty, a no change in price from the original quote guarantee, and detailed diagrams of how they install the posts using gravel and crowned cement to prevent moisture. The other 2 companies I got quotes from did not provide this so I chose HQ Fence for my project. Based on our budget we could not begin our project until May 1, however my old fence had fallen over and was leaning towards my house. Moises worked with me and, for a small deposit, sent a crew to remove the old fence in February so it did not cause damage to my home, then would come back and install the new fence May 1. The quality of the materials and workmanship was beyond my expectations and we are very pleased with our new fence and gate to say the least. My neighbor had a problem with her previously installed gate closing after the work was done, and Moises team helped to resolve it, even though the problem was not caused by them. My only criticism would be on communications. Setting up the dates and times for the work was not as smooth as I would have preferred. For example I had asked when they could come remove my old fence as was told 'soon'. Thats it. I understand Moises is very busy and so I didn't hold any of this against him, but a simple I'll get back to you etc... would have been preferred in this case. I would recommend working with him over phone if possible rather than text, but overall we worked out the dates and times for the removal and install and his team was on time and got the job done quickly. Because of the communication issue I would rate HQ fence a 4.5 out of 5 so I'm giving 5 stars on yelp, since 4.5 is not a possibility. Very satisfied and highly recommend.“
