About Burkett's Pool Plastering, Inc.

Burkett's Pool Plastering, Inc. is a well-known pool remodeling and renovation company in Northern California, established in 1989. With over 35 years of experience, they have a skilled team capable of handling projects of any size. The company is recognized for their high standards in customer service, product selection, and craftsmanship. Customers often praise the professionalism of the team and the quality of the finished products, whether it's a pool resurfacing, conversion, or expansion. Recent reviews highlight the company's dedication to customer satisfaction. Customers appreciated the clear and detailed quotes provided by Marlon Mader, who also helped with material samples to choose the perfect finish for their pools, resulting in incredible final looks. The customer service representative, Kat Brown, was praised for her friendly, proactive, and professional communication throughout the process, making the experience smooth and stress-free. The Project Manager, Marshall Croom, was commended for keeping everything on schedule, paying close attention to detail, and coordinating the team efficiently to ensure a beautiful finish. Over the last 7 years, customers have found Burkett's to be polite, respectful, and attentive to their needs, especially regarding water features, fountains, and ambient lighting. However, some reviews mention mixed experiences. One customer noted that while Jason pitched the job helpfully and the team removing old plaster worked hard, there were unexpected costs related to permits and additional work, which added about $7,000 over the budget. They also mentioned issues with uneven color and some concerns about the filter during drain setup. Despite these issues, the pool's appearance was praised, though one customer felt the overall experience was not as impressive as others. Nonetheless, the company’s team, including Froggy Fence, was recognized for going above and beyond in some aspects.

Over the last 7 years, Burketts has been a great company to work with. All aspects from phone calls with Beth, to the crew that comes out, are all very polite , respectful, and cognizant of your time. I have been using them for any concerns with my water features, fountains and ambient lighting.

Mixed feeling about this review. My choice of Burketts was driven by online reviews. This project had highs and lows. Jason first pitched the job, and was friendly and helpful. They weren't lowest bidder but that isnt the only factor.
When setting up pumps to drain the pool, they neglected to shut off the filter. I heard the pump and ran out and shut it off, but I can't say if filter is degraded or not. Time will tell.
The team that jackhammered off old plaster and removed tile were very hardworking, kudos to them.
Then came Marshall, to tell me fence won't pass inspection, gate must be replaced, and alarms must be installed on the doors and pool. This added...read full review
