Short Review: I went in for a haircut and IT'S A YES! GO! I was feeling impulsive and really wanted a haircut. It was a Wednesday and a lot of salons were fully booked. A lot of salons were also charging $80-90 for a haircut. I found Beauty Haircuts on yelp and gave them a call. The lady I spoke to, told me I can come in after I was out of work (5:00 pm). I rushed over to Beauty Haircuts and got seated in a chair upon arrival. Forgive me, I don't remember the lady's name, who cut my hair. BUT SHE WAS AMAZING!!!!! She knew what she was doing, asked me questions, and gave me just what I wanted. I will be back for my next trim, with her!! I am so grateful and happy!

You're rolling the dice when you're looking for a new barber at the last minute on the last weekday before a major holiday weekend. Boxcars! Cuts 1st Class. Pt. Richmond can have a bit of a Mayberry RFD vibe, so you might expect just one barbershop run by a guy named Floyd. Snap out of it! There are at least three barbershops in Pt Richmond and I know because I walked to all three and only Cuts 1st Class had more than one barber on duty and was ready for me as a walk-in. Request: Shave my head and trim this beard and moustache into a sharp look. Answer: Marisa to the rescue. She told me she had trained with one of the oldest, best-established barbers in the area. Everyone knows him and you book your appt at least a week in advance. I can say now he is also a good mentor. Her skill and vibe were excellent. It can be a little surprising to find a woman cutting hair in a barbershop. She knows what she's doing and there are lots of guys there to talk to from the chair if that's your deal. Marisa knows this area and many others, so you can relax and talk with her about whatever. From the conversations flowing, this is the place to be to know what's going on in the East Bay.

We've been coming here since our 3 sons were around 10 yrs old and now they are in their 20's. Tone is their barber but also a friend. Tone has always given them excellent haircuts, and later on perfectly lining their beard up as well. Sometimes I hung out waiting for their cuts to get done, I always felt comfortable even though its a guys environment. Tone is like family.

I've been coming to Lena's for years. My mom and I love coming here for our pedicures. Lena is great, she provides excellent service and great quality work. Lena is extremely kind and friendly. They are by appointment only so I do recommend calling. Her shop is always neat and clean and I have never worried about her sanitizing her equipment. My mom and I always leave happy and pleased with our pedicures.

'Above all' is a hidden gem in downtown Point Richmond.... a one of a kind nail spa (!)... In this post-pandemic period -- with so many spas having closed or having high staff turnover -- 'Above All' shines brightly for retaining its very relaxing, very warm and personal character.Amy, the manager is always welcoming and responsive and the staff -- Rose, Vi and Tina -- have been here for years now. This says a LOT about the place. They work together beautifully -- and they do lovely work. I haven't taken photos recently, but will next time -- but they do expert mani-pedis, including optional/additional (completely worth it in my book) scrubs, hot rocks, and hot wax. The chairs provide shiatsu massage -- but the staff do additional neck, leg and hand/arm massage. I always look forward to going for my manis and pedis with them -- and so appreciate their excellence combined with the welcoming ambiance they've created as a team.

I can highly recommend Better Rooter. Absolutely responsive from the first call, on time, pricing very fair and its clear their team has worked together for a long time. Seamless coordination, great communication, and you know they are experts at what they do. I had to do a trenchless sewer lateral- not easy to get permits with the City of Oakland making it difficult to issue permits due to hack. Better Rooter persevered, coordinated all the various departments and agencies. Their team came on time, and worked so hard to get it done quickly. My neighbors were asking me later - who was that company with such hard workers. Mind you this was in one of the huge rainstorms. The team was respectful of my property and my neighbors- kept it all as clean as humanly possible. Excellent experience.

They completed the project faster than we thought and handled visits from city inspectors and a structural engineer to get everything done smoothly and properly. Arthur and his team have an eye for design and are as professional as it gets. Back in February 2020, our patio awning blew straight off in one of those crazy Bay Area storms and was ripped from our house. We put repairs on the back burner, and when shelter in place orders were mandated, we decided it was time to finally look into our project. After a quick consult, Arthur recommended a couple of options: either we put the same sheet metal awning back on, or he could build us a wooden trellis. I chose to go with the wooden trellis, and figured now would also be a good time to put in the deck we had been talking about building for years since we had first moved in. Arthur's team - Tony (foreman) and his sons - got to work right away as soon as we reviewed the scope of work and went over a few design ideas. The before and after are phenomenal, as you can see in the photographs. We had a couple changes in design right in the middle, but in the end, I'm blown away by the overall look of how it is now than how it would've looked originally. Arthur and his team were very responsive to our questions and our requests, and his crew were very respectful and professional about their work. We have some other home projects we've identified that we'd like to do in the future, and we will for sure be choosing Hutton Construction for their help in these projects.
Advanced Home Energy helped me do a whole efficiency upgrade to my home. Their technician Laura first came and did a test-in. She used high-tech tools to measure the leakage of the house and the old ductwork, the performance and safety of all my gas appliances, efficiency of windows, and existing insulation. Then they sent me an extremely thorough report with recommendations, explanations, and projected energy savings for different measures we could take. We ended up replacing my 1955 furnace with a new high efficiency furnace, and they suggested I put it in my attic instead of a closet. We actually gained a huge closet space as a side-benefit! AHE then installed all new insulated ducts and sealed them super-tight. There was one guy who spent a whole day literally painting this duct mastic inside all my register boxes so they'd be absolutely air-tight. Then after the furnace was installed, we did blown-in cellulose in my attic and walls, air sealing in the crawlspace, all new dual-pane windows which look GREAT, and I even got a nice set of pull-down attic stairs out of the deal where there used to be just a 2' x 2' hole. I had asked if the furnace be situated so that I could have some attic storage space available, and they more than accommodated my request. I also asked if the furnace would be quiet, and they explained that to help with this, they install an "acoustic loop" in the return air duct, which means that the duct travels a longer distance between the return air grille in my ceiling and the actuall furnace. Man, I can barely hear this thing when it fires up!Laura came back and did a test-out, to see if they had met their projected energy savings. They hadn't only met them, they had exceeded them. They submitted all the paperwork to the Energy Upgrade California program, and about 6 weeks later, I got a rebate check for $4500!!!!!Now we are several months into winter, and I was really curious what our utility bills would look like. Well, let me start by saying that my wife had a baby (a home birth in our toasty, quiet house!) on December 7. We had the thermostat set on 71 degrees for the entire month of December and January, all day, every day. Last winter, I kept the thermostat on 68 at night, and left it off for 8 hours a day while we were at work. Even with the extreme increase in heat usage from last winter to this winter, our energy bills are HALF of what they used to be. I'm saving at least $100/month all winter. Between that and the rebate, this job is going to pay for itself within 10 years. And my family and I get the benefits of living in a quiet, comfortable home. I am absolutely elated. We sought out the services of Rene and his team after seeing the amazing work he did on our neighbor's front yard. He came highly recommended by them and after seeing the work they did for us, we can see why. We had a huge clean up job in our back yard and a bad foxtail weed infestation. Rene and his team came in and did an amazing job clearing, treating and laying down weed control and pea gravel as requested. They were very polite and worked diligently, quickly and to a high standard. They were very clean in the way they operated and left our back yard in an incredible state for a very reasonable price. We are looking at further jobs we want doing at some point and will be reaching back out to Rene and his team. Would highly recommend.

I’ve worked with Dr Jess on several injuries related to long distance running: knees, feet, and ankles. She has always been able to help me get back to the sports I love quickly.In 2019 I had to take 10 months off of running due to injuries. Nothing I could find online was working for me and it didn’t get better with rest. I saw Dr Jess in early 2020 and she helped me identify and treat my IT band syndrome. I finished the year with over 1k miles and by 2022 achieved a long standing goal of mine to run a trail 50k in under 5 hours.What I like most about her approach is that she really teaches you how to improve form, strength, and flexibility on your own with exercises that I found easy to follow after the sessions.I will definitely see Dr Jess again if I have problems in the future.

I say this because he found the answer to a chronic pain problem that I have endured for decades, that no other physician diagnosed. Proof of his argument was that in the very first therapeutic session with him the incredibly crippling pain was alleviated and has stayed in the best state that I have experienced for decades.

I say this because he found the answer to a chronic pain problem that I have endured for decades, that no other physician diagnosed. Proof of his argument was that in the very first therapeutic session with him the incredibly crippling pain was alleviated and has stayed in the best state that I have experienced for decades.

I used to help run a non kill shelter for twenty years and know a good vet when I see one. I started coming here about four years ago and have been super happy with the care of my dogs and cats. Dr. Kwon is very in touch with my animals, is an excellent diagnostician (he cured a horrendous dog skin issue that two specialists and $3000 could not help), a skilled surgeon (pets recover quickly without pain and scars are minimal) and has reasonable prices. Everyone has had staffing issues since Covid, but this hospital has a compassionate full staff and there is a sign on the counter that explains some of the new folks are in training. I recommend this vet without hesitation.

The prices are great, the massage not so much but it's ok! The place is clean could use a little more improvement lightening the rooms, but overall it's a must experience. They semi care for your pain or relaxation fairly quiet rooms. Local to the area. They have good communication with what they do or offer the packages. (Female here don't think otherwise). The secretary that spoke Spanish was nice, professional and answered all my questions before hand made me feel welcomed. thank you. Although it's a little hard to find the place orbited around a couple times but she helped me.

I've tried many male massage therapists there. So far, Tom, Jerry, Tim, and David have all been good. They are hard workers and very professional, but their English are limited . Please let the front desk know in advance about where is the main focus and where you need to be avoid.
