“I cannot express just how good the customer service is at this place. Our air conditioning broke over Fourth of July weekend and within twenty minutes of opening after I left a message during the holiday, I received a call back from Gabrielle and they sent out Jim that same day. The problem was diagnosed almost immediately and repair completed quickly. However the story doesn't end there! The initial repair led to the discovery of a secondary issue -- which was slightly delayed because we left on vacation during the first repair, so when we got back to a hot apartment they once again made us feel like we were top priority. When Jim couldn't reproduce the issue we had the second time, he even came back outside of his scheduled route to do a double check and was then able to diagnose the problem and complete a repair!During this whole process they received a lot of phone calls from me--enough for me to annoy them definitely, but they never came across annoyed. Gabrielle was always friendly and super helpful over the phone, and if she missed my call I never went more than 15-20 minutes without receiving a call back. “During the heat wave of July, 2024, our air conditioning stopped working. Ski sent Ryan out, who carefully diagnosed the problem, and early the next morning Victor came and installed a new circuit board. We are very thankful to have a fully functional, quietly purring air conditioner again.

When our ancient HVAC unit died about 20 years ago I got estimates from three companies; thankfully one was from Ski, whom we had install our current unit. They have been absolutely honest, kind, pleasant and knowledgeable to deal with at every turn, and the great unit they installed all those years ago is still going strong.

“Norcal Mechanical Heating and Cooling provided exceptional service that went above and beyond our expectations. After being told by another company that our AC unit needed a complete replacement, we sought a second opinion from Norcal.

The owner, Brad, personally came out on a Saturday during peak summer heat (over 100°F) to assess our system and attic. Instead of immediately pushing for an expensive replacement, he took a methodical approach to diagnose and fix the issue.

Brad sent a technician the following week to clean our system, which partially improved the situation. He then followed up personally to check on the results. He scheduled another visit to thoroughly clean the system before diving deeper into the problem.

“So, the crew arrived yesterday to remove our entire HVAC system & ducting, and replace it with a new Goodman 4T unit. The guys (Tim, Ryan, Jack, and Nate) were all professional, polite, and informative, and upgraded our system to two zones and two thermostats. They scheduled a Crane Service to lift our old box out, and the new one in. New duct work and dampers work perfectly; tested heating & cooling after install, and circulation was incredible, compared to our old unit.
