We contacted SavATree to check on a tree that had the potential to be a menace to our roof. We needed to evaluate the health of the tree and our option between remove the tree vs trim it down. Along with that there was another tree with surface roots and we wanted to assess the potential. Frank Cadena from SavATree understood our urgency and visited us in a matter of a day. He was helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. He helped us assess more of our trees while he was on premises. He provided very good feedback on our trees. I recommend this company, but there are some caveats. Their prices are very good, and all the people I dealt with are friendly and accommodating. They do good work (I needed lots of trimming (mostly fruit trees) and a couple of trees transplanted. My analogy is to getting your car washed - SavATree is like a good car wash place, but not as good as getting your car detailed. So, I was happy with the work they did for what they charged. My negative is that communication is pretty bad - they say when they're coming and don't come, they come when they didn't say they were coming, you tell them to do A then B and they announce they are about to do B before doing... read full review

Franck (with a C) and his crew did a great job this morning removing a problematic tulip tree in the so-called public parkway in front of my house...at the "request" of the City of San Jose. Don't get me started! While the crew was here, I had them trim my beautiful half-century old olive tree in MY front yard. They also pulled dead fronds from the Yuka plant-tree. The guys cleaned up nicely and were done before noon. I will have them plant a new and approved tree next month. In the meantime, I will apply for "financial aid" from the City for the public portion of the work. Wish me luck! SavATree's proposal was very competitive and I liked... read full review
