As someone who doesn’t like going to any type of clinics, I found going to GameDay Redwood City a relaxing experience due to the knowledgeable and friendly staffs. The cleanliness of the clinic and ambience was superb ! I really appreciated that the staff valued my time and helped guide me through the whole process including a free consultation and on-site testing. We were able to develop a plan together to addressed my testosterone needs which men don’t often talk about!

She was meticulate and detail-oriented with the balayage, and checked with me for key choices like level of lightening, warmth, layering, etc. I've gotten balayage done at several salons at this point, and these are the best results I've ever had. It was beautifully blended with the right dimensionality and warmth for me. To be fully transparent, I had 2 previous booking attempts (for a haircut and a blowout) at this salon that involved scheduling hiccups. I think they were still new and working out their booking system them. But it looks like they've fixed the booking system and scheduling was smooth this time. I'm glad I gave them another chance because the balayage and haircut turned out so beautifully and I will definitely be back.

One of the big branches from our cypress tree was snapped and dangling 2 weeks before our daughter's birthday. We contacted several tree services company. We went with JJI because I felt more comfortable with Joaquin when he came to our house for an estimate. On the day of the service, they did an excellent job, protected my deck, window, roof, etc with plywood and clean up after. Joaquin showed me what the finished project, gave me some recommendation and make sure I was satisfied before he left. I highly recommend Joaquin and his crew.
We are absolutely thrilled with the brick wall Angel and his crew built for us. Angel was excellent at consulting with us and our landscape designer, Lorinda Reichert, on design and color and keeping us informed along the way. Angel's crew was meticulous in building the wall and they got everything done on time and within budget. In addition to the wall, they moved some existing boxwood, planted new ones and added sprinklers to keep them all watered. Our new wall, trimmed with boxwood, looks beautiful and we couldn't be happier.
We contacted SavATree to check on a tree that had the potential to be a menace to our roof. We needed to evaluate the health of the tree and our option between remove the tree vs trim it down. Along with that there was another tree with surface roots and we wanted to assess the potential. Frank Cadena from SavATree understood our urgency and visited us in a matter of a day. He was helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. He helped us assess more of our trees while he was on premises. He provided very good feedback on our trees. This was just an evaluation visit - but a valuable one as we now have a reasonable way forward and are encouraged to have a knowledgeable arborist to work with. Thanks so much.

Really 4 1/2 stars but that's not a choice. As in she gets an a but not an A+, as those are really hard to get. I love Dr. Delisser. She is upbeat and positive, listens and is really good at what she does. She doesn't even mind when I want to talk about girly stuff because her skin is so beautiful. But she gets me right back on track. I've had a few procedures from her and a few procedures in the office. While getting stuck with a needle is not fun she's very gentle and accurate. It seems she looks at things like a primary care physician- As in looks at the whole picture. I'm so glad I found her. She has been helping me a lot. For my very first visit, I was able to get in before I was going on a trip and the scheduler was so happy that I was able to get in with Dr. Delisser.She told me she was amazing and she's right. The office staff at Allied Pain and Spine Institute are also top notch. You can feel the tension when office staff are not happy. The tension bleeds down to the patients. That is not the case here as they are very professional and kind.
A friend of mine encouraged me to try this treatment when she noticed my emotional swings taking over my daily existence. After many years of trauma, and holding on, convincing myself that I am strong and can handle anything in life, but for the first time I realised my energy was fading away and I could not focus anymore. I lost my positive vibe and was not energetic like before. At that time it was building in and I had no answer how to fix myself. My old technics did not work anymore. Growing up around traditional old natural medicine, exploring more about health and wellbeing, I never believed in prescription meds which only suppress the symptoms and never cure the issue. I knew nothing about Mark’s technology style at that time. It was all new to me. I told myself that I should give it a try and I have nothing to loose. And I took first 2 sessions. The introduction video was very informative and I got an idea how it works. It’s about the frequencies signals in a brain which control our emotions and thoughts. If can make m us sad and depressed, or make us calm, productive, energetic, and happy. I definitely wanted to train my brain to run only good frequencies, to be able to focus again, be productive, get rid of negative thoughts. Noting was noticeable at my sessions until I left the office and found myself in a different state of mind, more calm, less stress, paying attention to the world around me. And at that moment I knew I have to go back and continue the sessions. I drove back for 4 hours again to the office and had no doubts. Driving back home after 6th session I felt like a new person. I was coming bavk to myself, better and stronger, more focused and calm. Can’t wait for my next appointment. I know for sure it will take me to that road of well-being, the happiness, and I be able to achieve anything in my life!

MILLIE IS AMAZING!! Wish I had before and after pictures of 2 years worth of disaster blonde highlights that were supposed to be the transition of my natural grey with my hair. Dropped in to PRIMP to see if I could get help and Millie was the hair fairy I needed. She fixed the brassy ugliness and restructured the color with mastery. Won't go anywhere else again!

I recently visited Gents Barber for a haircut for my son and had a wonderful experience. We had an appointment with Chris at noon and started promptly at 12:05. My son's previous haircut was uneven and poorly tapered, but Chris did an amazing job fixing it. He paid great attention to detail and ensured the cut suited my son's face perfectly. The shop itself is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is very friendly. An added bonus was the adorable French bulldog in the shop, which provided a fun distraction while we waited. Overall, I highly recommend Gents Barber for their excellent service and welcoming atmosphere.
Lilian has been my go-to barber for well over a decade. She is friendly, efficient, and gives an extraordinary haircut at a reasonable price. On the rare occasions when I've been on the road and gone to other barbers, I am reminded what a mistake it is not to wait until I get back to Redwood City and see Lilian! I really appreciate that several years ago Lilian started requiring an appointment, which makes getting a cut from her even easier and more efficient -- and it forces me to plan ahead!
First let me just say this salon does it all! Friendly and knowledgeable hair stylists. I've been trough many other salons around the area that have done decent but not as good as this one. Flor is the best! Not only is she good at what she does but also extremely knowledgeable for everything you need to know about your hair. They got my business till my hair falls off hopefully not. Had my first haircut with Marcus and I’m already planning my next visit. He really listened to how I wanted my hair cut, took his time, and made sure everything was just right. The whole time, we were joking around, we had alot in common, making the experience super enjoyable. Marcus is precise and even asked for feedback halfway through to ensure my hair was looking how I wanted. The barbershop itself is clean and has a very comforting atmosphere. Marcus is so easy to talk to; it’s clear I’ve found my new favorite barbershop.

I called last minute and and they were able to fit me in. It was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was so relaxing. The way that the technician did my pedicure was different than other salons I've been to. For she's soaked my feet but as soon as that part was over, she removed it and reclined the chair to where I almost fell asleep. The leg massage was perfect and not rushed at all. I had a nail that I had hit and I wasn't sure if my nail was able to be saved. She did a fabulous job and my nail was fine. I would definitely recommend this place. The price was reasonable as well!

So happy this is so close to where I live as it's the best. I was happy with Lin the 1st time I went to her and now only go to her. She's nice, remembers me, does a great job on my nails and tells me if something I pick might not be the best for my nails. I do Dip since my nails are so weak. 2/15/25 Update: I asked MUA, Maggie, to create for me a glam look fit for a fancy event. I wanted soft, sultry eyes with an accentuated lash and a bold red lip. Maggie Delivered! The makeup made me feel like a Hollywood starlet. I posted a pic and video of the makeup freshly done. And I also posted two pics of this makeup after wearing it out for over six hours, through eating and drinking. It still looks gorgeous! I also bought Maggies's one-on-one makeup lesson. She taught me how to create this look on myself and broke the lesson down into well organized, very easy to understand segments. She educated me on tools, products, application techniques, and skin prep for makeup ... all tailored to my unique facial features and skin type! So I feel confident in my ability to do this makeup on myself at home and have it look great on me. But it's so much fun to have Maggie do my makeup that I'll be going back to her to do this look and others on me in the future.
My husband came home from this salon with the best haircut he has ever had. His best friend went and also came back with his best cut. Then, I see my brother-in-law and he looked great! Told me he also went to Hair Express. 3 great haircuts made me give Blanca a shot. I was so happy with the results! Blanca was super caring and treated me like family. Now my entire family goes here! This little hidden gem was a bit tricky to find but once I figured out that it was a stall within a larger building, it clicked! Alicia was so friendly and efficient. With the numbing spray, I flinched much less than normal. She paid attention to details and made me felt at ease. It was a smooth process (haha no pun intended).

I shopped around to get my tattoo and chose this one knowing it might cost a bit more. I was impressed by the shop aesthetic and the overall vibe of the shop and I really enjoyed talking to Vic the owner and tattoo artist. I figured since he owned his own studio his work would be better and he told me he has had his own studio for 14 years and I will say it really shows in his professionalism. I went with a custom design and worked with Vic on a lot of ideas and I enjoyed the back and forth we had between artist and client and the end product is a piece that I really enjoyed. I did my piece yesterday and it is recovering great, it's barely red and there's not a lot of swelling. And I can say he absolutely blew me away with the design, and the process and even the price. I am super stoked, my mom hated the idea of me getting a second tattoo at first but she absolutely loves it. Can not wait to come back. You literally can not go wrong here.
I want to give a quick update on this tattoo, as my kids were asking about it. I have to say, I get compliments on this tattoo all the time - once people realize there's a tattoo there. I had no idea how this one would turn out and/or what's this going to look like years later. I am so glad I went in and got it in white years ago!

These guys did great work. Showed up on time, were thoughtful and methodical in their installation of a shutoff valve and a PRV, and did an excellent job cleaning up. Would definitely use them again.

My 14 year old tankless water heater stopped working. I talked to people about recommendations and their experience with the same problem. I got 2 plumbers in the area based on water heater manufacturer's website listing for plumbers in the area who service and install this particular brand. Then I looked at Yelp reviews and picked Shoreway Plumbing (along with another plumber). Fernando came for the estimate and he immediately impressed me as knowledgeable and experienced. Based on my description, he actually correctly predicted the model of my other tankless water heater which was even older. Fernando was polite and professional. The day after he gave me the bid, he followed up to see if I had any questions. Julio was the plumber who came for the job because Fernando was on another job and he was equally knowledgeable. He completed the installation in 3 hours, and cleaned up afterwards, leaving the area cleaner than before he started. Julio was also polite and humble but professional. I did get a bid from another plumber, who came in slightly less expensive but did not have the same confidence and professionalism. The other plumber also estimated the job would take 6-7 hours. But there are individual workers and there is the company. The crew was happy with the company and felt the Shoreway treated them well. They liked the owner and always want to pitch in to help the owner. That says a lot to me.
Stanley is one of the most honest plumbers I've ever worked with hands down. He's honest and went miles for me and my family to take care of our plumbing needs. I had a somewhat constrained and complicated repiping job. Oro Pro did an excellent job and were flexible in accommodating some of my issues (it was hard for me to find a tile guy to repair the backsplash in the kitchen). The timing was good, the people were good and amenable to simple requests. I would recommend them for major jobs.

I called upon getting a tankless water heater installed, he recommended which tankless to go with & installed it the same day. I have had no problems with any of his work, would definitely call again for any plumbing services.
We recently had some leaking problems with our hallway bathroom toilet in our condo. Our friend recommended Regina Plumbing. So I called them and they were very prompt. They replaced the toilet bowl wax rings in our two bathrooms, and we had to have the water shut off in our building for them to replace the toilet bowl valves. So they came back promptly the next week, and replaced the valves in both bathrooms. They were very professional and I am very pleased with their work. My only issue is for 3 1/2 hours of work, the price was $904. To me, as a senior citizen with social security as our only income, that was a bit too expensive. I do highly recommend their work for those people that can afford them.
We needed a back flow test done and Dale Plumbing was very responsive so we decided to go with them. James, our technician, was such a friendly person! He patiently explained to me what a "back flow test" was and took care of the project very quickly. Overall very pleased and will definitely repeat with Dale Plumbing.Thank you!

John and his team do excellent and timely work. After dealing with so many power outages, I wanted to find a way to hook a backup generator to my house's electrical panel. John provided an affordable solution (relative to battery options or generac) and was able to install a transfer switch that a portable generator can hook up to. When I had problems figuring out how to hook up the generator to the house, John came out again and showed me how to get things running free of charge. Will definitely use again.
The Lewis team had some repairs then stretching and finally a full house cleaning. They showed up on time did a wonderful job at all three tasks. Professional and courteous. I totally recommend this team.

I would give 10 stars if I could! I have the best things to say about John Watt and highly recommend him. We have 3 small children, one who was having health problems, and discovered that we had a hidden mold problem which was affecting my sons health. My father helped me research and interview a few different mold inspection and remediation companies (some highly reputable big companies and insanely $ here in Mill Valley) and we decided to work with John based off of a strong referral. And Im so glad we did!!!! John was above and beyond during the entire process, worked hard to find the source of the mold - from taking extra tests in our sons room knowing he was the one being affected -- to texting me back after work hours as I asked him questions on how to prepared our home for the remediation -- he shared so much helpful advice and guidance to ensure we properly remediate and prevent any mold coming back. And then the ultimate test was our final ERMIE results 6 weeks post remediation -- which was a perfect low and safe score -- he did it!!! The ERMIE test cant lie. Within a few weeks, my son is already so much better, its unbelievable -- When I shared this with John, he said that is the best part of his job :) He is truly a good person and does an excellent above and beyond job. During such a stressful and confusing time, Johns support and kindness was an unexpected quality that I truly appreciated and didn't realize I needed. I cannot recommend him enough!!!

I hosted a large family gathering, and by the end of the night, my place looked like a tornado had hit. Mr. Tapia and his team did it again, what a dream team -- a great job on my kitchen project. Their scope was: demolition, flooring, backsplash, and final details. They were so respectful of my home - Just one of many example: they prep by protecting all areas with plastic sheeting and plastic covers on my carpets. Mr. Tapia guided me to manage the project with all of the different contractors. When we were planning the project, he said "you can do this, save some money." The project was complicated, but he was right, I did it (with his tutoring of course)! Mr. Tapia is a fine team leader and loves what he does; it shows in his commitment and the quality of the work. After the great job on my primary bath, I didn't even get other quotes for the Kitchen project. I could not be happier. --Next is the guest bathroom.
Our 22-year-old wood floors had water and sun damage, along with usual wear and tear, especially in our kitchen. The DG crew replaced the damaged boards, sanded and applied finish to the remaining rooms and hallway. The results were beyond our expectations--it looked as if all the floors were newly installed. The crew was also careful in covering cupboards and built-ins with plastic, which kept dust to a minimum. Their pricing was fair for what they accomplished--we couldn't be more pleased.
Steve, Majid and Kevin did an impressive job on my full bathroom remodel. Steve had excellent design ideas and was patient with my indecisiveness; Majid’s tight coordination of the subcontractors got the job done in one month (which was ahead of schedule!) and Kevin was responsive to my requests for touch-ups at the end. All the workers were friendly, courteous, and professional. I appreciate the quality of their work and am pleased with their completive pricing. (Their “package deal” easily beat the 3 bids I got from independent contractors, even though I “switched out” some of the items in their package.) It was a positive experience from start to finish! (Tip: Be sure to discuss your preferred placement of the vanity lights with Majid or he will install them 1 foot from the ceiling, too high for my taste.)

We used Mayen Builders for some minor upgrades/remodeling to a bathroom, as well as some small touch up items elsewhere (e.g., drywall patch and paint). Hector was great to work with, and did great work. His particular superpower is communications - he communicates better than any other contractor I've worked with, including making sure that we know the impact of decisions we're making, we know the materials being used, etc. Hector also went above and beyond in a few ways on our job. As one example, we had arranged with Hector to pick up a new bathroom vanity and countertop from the warehouse. Hector picked it up, but then noticed some serious manufacturing defects that would have made the vanity not hold up long term. Instead of trying to hide the issue and take the path of least resistance, Hector actually went back to the wareouse and worked with them to ensure a new unit was provided. I would happily hire Hector again for a future job, and would recommend him based on communications, fair price, and quality work. Thank you, Hector!

Once I was ready to get the project started, the crew was able to come out a few days later. They knocked it out quickly and with great quality.I had some in-ceiling speakers installed which was pretty involved since speaker wire had to be pulled through a number of obstacles in the ceiling and wall. They got it all patched up and looking like they were never there.They also hid other speaker and TV cables with high precision. I was notably impressed by how they did my Left/Right wall-mounted speaker cables. They took the time to precisely locate the holes they needed to cut so it would (1) be totally hidden and (2) exactly line up with the speaker terminal, which is a small target. It may sound trivial, but it actually would have been rather involved to get that right.In addition to the A/V work, we had them add some recess lights which look fantastic. The foreman was able to help us decide where to locate the lights and we super happy happy with where they are now.With all this work, it was still cheaper than going directly with the A/V installers I quoted initially for just the speaker and speaker wire install.I would 100% hire Rodi Construction again. Brothers did a great job trimming a huge oak tree in our front yard. After seeing the tremendous amount of work and manpower needed for the job, I think their fee was very fair. We are absolutely thrilled with the brick wall Angel and his crew built for us. Angel was excellent at consulting with us and our landscape designer, Lorinda Reichert, on design and color and keeping us informed along the way. Angel's crew was meticulous in building the wall and they got everything done on time and within budget. In addition to the wall, they moved some existing boxwood, planted new ones and added sprinklers to keep them all watered. Our new wall, trimmed with boxwood, looks beautiful and we couldn't be happier.
We contacted SavATree to check on a tree that had the potential to be a menace to our roof. We needed to evaluate the health of the tree and our option between remove the tree vs trim it down. Along with that there was another tree with surface roots and we wanted to assess the potential. Frank Cadena from SavATree understood our urgency and visited us in a matter of a day. He was helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. He helped us assess more of our trees while he was on premises. He provided very good feedback on our trees. This was just an evaluation visit - but a valuable one as we now have a reasonable way forward and are encouraged to have a knowledgeable arborist to work with. Thanks so much.

One of the big branches from our cypress tree was snapped and dangling 2 weeks before our daughter's birthday. We contacted several tree services company. We went with JJI because I felt more comfortable with Joaquin when he came to our house for an estimate. On the day of the service, they did an excellent job, protected my deck, window, roof, etc with plywood and clean up after. Joaquin showed me what the finished project, gave me some recommendation and make sure I was satisfied before he left. I highly recommend Joaquin and his crew.

I have been seeing Dr Pete for more than five years. Before visiting Dr Pete, I had seen numerous chiropractors with no effective results. Dr Pete’s initial assessment with X ray identified exactly the location of my problem, and then he uses customized treatments to target the problem areas. For me, he works like a magician. Sometimes when I visit I will feel dizzy and I can hardly walk, going in, but after the treatment I can walk normally again, and without pain and dizziness.

This week, I tried Pilates for the first time at RockSalt Studio in Redwood City. My friend dragged me out of bed at 6:00 AM for this adventure haha. The instructor gave us a warm welcome, setting the vibe for the whole class. She explained everything in a way that even newbies like me could understand, which was a huge relief. What I loved most was how chill the class was. I didn't feel pressured to keep up with everyone else; I could go at my own pace. My review of Stephania Humphrey sounds like the others here, I came in with severe sciatica symptom pain that has plagued me for a year now, and this was a last-ditch effort to find some kind of care to avoid surgery. I had lumbar surgery 25 years ago, did not want another, and had seen specialist MDs (including prednisone pills and epidural cortisone injections), lots of physical therapy, and chiropractor during this past year, to no avail. I did get some improvement from an anti-inflammatory diet, but what has really helped me get my life back (in only 4 sessions) is the treatment from Stephania - especially the deep tissue massage. I regularly go to Nancy and Edgar at Massage Envy in Redwood City; they are both great therapists. I like deep tissue and they both provide the right amount of pressure for me. Edgar also includes some stretching in his practice, which I often need due to sitting for long hours at work. He regularly checks in with you about the degree if pressure throughout your session. I always walk out feeling relaxed. Also, Front desk staff is very friendly and professional.

My daughter, husband and I all enjoyed wonderful massages today. I had booked them last week for my daughter's birthday and thought I booked 2 pm but he called at 1 pm and said I had booked it for 1 pm. Needless to say, we were quite late and Dr. James was very kind and patient. The massages were very good - deep tissue which addressed all the kinks and problems. We had the massages at his San Carlos location and he said he can also add hot stones for future massages there. We will definitely return for massages in the future!

We have only positive things to say about Bay 1 Driving School! We met Wilfin a decade ago when he was driving my kids on the school bus in Menlo Park. He was always such a kind, warm, helpful driver and so good with the kids. I immediately contacted him when I needed driving lessons for my son. Wilfin is quick to respond and his pricing is reasonable. We went on lessons with Rosa and Mike and both of them were great. He accommodated our schedule and the instructors were punctual, friendly and patient with my son.
