I’ve been going to Dr. Young for over 30 years. In that time he has treated me as well as my now grown three children. One of my kids was born extremely premature and suffers from a condition called Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP). Consequently, she will always be at high risk for a detached retina which, if left untreated leads to blindness. When back in town recently she was experiencing eye problems, I suggested she give Dr. Young a call. He immediately got her in, and referred her to a Retinal Specialist in Portland. I will always be grateful to Dr. Young for the wonderfully consistent care he has provided to my family over the years. Thanks Dr. Young!

I do not have a regular optometrist as I have not yet needed one. Recently, however I injured my eye at work and needed to be seen by one quickly. I made a list of doctors to call based on who took my insurance, and I was fortunate enough that Dr. Young at Redding Eye Care Center was on that list. I had called a few others and they either would not see me because I was not a patient, or just wouldn't pick up the phone, or had long wait times. I couldn't wait days to be seen I was in severe pain. Kelly at Dr. Youngs office answered and got me in right away. She was so sweet! I had been without a good pair of glasses for about a year. Finally, after the virus scare, I made my appointment with Dr. Michael Young. Oh my goodness am I happy that I did. I was given an exam, and found that I have a condition called dry eyes. Who knew. Now, with the beautiful new glasses and eye drops, my eyes are so comfortable and refreshed. Thank you Dr. Young, and your staff is exceptional at their job. It was a very pleasant appointment and care.
