“EMILY DID MY HAIR AND I LOVE HER I recently moved to the area and wanted to find a stylist closer to me. I mainly go to Emily for haircuts these days since I spent years bleaching my hair and needed a break. She gave me great advice on regrowing my hair and never once sold me anything (even tho they had in house products) which was really refreshing. I'd been to many salons that oversell items to you even if it isnt the most optimal for your hair. Emily is really friendly and absolutely gives great pointers on styling and what might look good on you. Everyone at the salon has been great, it's clean, organized and lively. They take card for payment and allow you to tip over venmo which is great. My only call out is I've had simple services like a bangs trim cost a fair amount, though my regular haircuts have been great. I've never left unhappy with my hair, so I'll definitely be sticking around!“

“Had a makeup application with Alexandra, with assist from Kathy. I told her that I wanted something very natural for a wedding. This salon uses extremely good products. Alexandra consulted with me to make sure that I was comfortable with what she was doing as I told her that I do not normally wear makeup. I attended the wedding and felt comfortable the whole time because I never felt that my makeup was overdone. I also ended up getting a blowout which allowed me to relax before getting dressed instead of doing my hair on my own. The salon has very good energy. I'm so happy that I picked this salon! Even though I usually like whichever technician I get for my services when booking my appointment I can't say enough about Lynn's customer service and work. “This is a friendly local nail salon that also offers waxing services! I treated my boyfriend and I to mani pedis and I have mixed feelings about the results. The location itself is easy to find, has parking, and the store interior is beautiful and looks clean! We both got basic pedicures and I got a gel manicure with cat eye design (extra $10) while my boyfriend got a regular manicure with nail buff shine (extra $6). My manicure came out nice but the male nail technician didn't seem to know how to do the cat eye well--it's shiny but the reflectiveness of the cat eye is all over and isn't as 3D looking. Both my boyfriend and I thought the salon cut back at our cuticles too much. I started getting dry skin and peeling bits days after the services and my boyfriend actually has an infected toe because they cut very deep into the side of his toenail. Nails were shaped nicely but the heavy cutting of the cuticles makes me not want to return. Regarding price, I think they have the best prices around and are reasonable for the services! If you pay cash, you also get a discount. Overall, relaxing experience with friendly staff but the aftermath was not great. I would recommend telling them to push back on your cuticles but not cut them too much.“

“I've had great results from coloring and cutting my hair with Tara. She takes her time and does a fabulous job of washing and conditioning your hair with a little massage. Something you don't get in most beauty salons. It's usually a quick wash and condition and out you go. Tara has also made sure she accommodated me when I needed her for a color before an event. She takes her time and never rushes. I feel that she's a perfectionist in her job! Thank you for your service to these 2 great ladies, Mindy and Tara!“

“This is really I have found to be one of the best nail salons in the solana beach, Del Mar and encinitas area. They have very good customer service. I have always felt that they treated me well and respected my time. So many nail salons in the area treat you like a number and expect you to wait an hour on a pre arranged appointment. They do not do that ever! I appreciate that. Kim is always very nice and a good manager. The pricing is a bit more than other places in the area, but it is worth it to me to have good customer service. Some nail techs are better than others. I just had an acrylic gel fill with Linda and she did a good job. She actually took the time to do a base coat and top coat and many nail techs want to bypass it. As far as nail art, longevity of the nails if getting acrylic etc....it depends on your nail tech. Overall I really like the people working there in general- but like I said it depends on the nail tech. Kim does a good job with customer service and so do many of the nail techs.“

“Have gone here for years for gel manicures. Recently started doing acrylics and Brian is *amazing*. Attention to detail and always makes sure the work is what I want.

UPDATE 5/2022: Went on a cruise this last week and Brian was booked out(forgot they were closed Sunday). I had to get them done elsewhere and they didnt even do HALF of what Brian normally does. Literally 10 days later and I've lost three nails already. I will NEVER go anywhere but HERE. Brian is SO amazing and goes above and beyond!!!

UPDATE 5/2024: Brian remains a master of acrylics and I am very happy to have found him.“

“I was staying in Encinitas for the weekend and needed my nails done and happened upon best nails. I got there a little after 6:00 and they were closing at 7:00 and asked if they had time to do my nails. They happily said yes.. When I showed them the nail design that I was hoping to get the male owner who was shaping my nails said that he couldn't do that but he was going to see if someone else could. He did a great job shaping my nails and then his daughter came to do the polish. Kim is her name. She took such care in doing a beautiful design. I feel really bad because I didn't get out of there until 8:00. An hour after they closed. But they were so gracious. I am most likely going to make the 30-minute trip from my house to Encinitas to get my nails done again. Thank you so much for the great service.“

The nail salon is clean and the service we received from Jackie and Cathy was top notch. They were very friendly and took their time with the various steps in our pedicure. We got the luxury pedicure which was a little more expensive but completely worth it to feel pampered! Highly recommend this place and we will come back next time we are in town.“
